New Air Jordan 12s continue to appear on the release calendar this year. Most recently, we saw a “University” colorway that seemed to be inspired by Michael Jordan’s alma mater. The Air Jordan 12 Gym Red/White is next up on the list of brand new colorways.
Via the pictures (which look like they’ve been taken at a Nike distribution center), we can see that Jordan Brand went for a mix of tumbled and pebbled leather for this shoe, avoiding any of the nubuck or suede seen on some of the other new Jordan designs. The upper part of the shoe, including the metallic lace eyelets. The bottom retains a traditional white mudguard, very similar to the Playoff 12s. Red laces matching the upper tie everything together.
These Air Jordan 12 Retros will go on sale July 7 for the (now) standard retail of $190. Where do they rank among all the 12s that have already and will release this year?
