AlunaGeorge crafts that potent R&B music that steers further from radio pop and rides closer to 90's rhythm and blues. The U.K. duo dropped off their Champagne Eyes EP this past weekend, and the compact project shines as a melodic experience. The six-track effort features appearances from Bryson Tiller, Baauer, and Cautious Clay.
“I'm not trying to please the masses," singer-songwriter Aluna Francis told Billboard of her new project. "I'm just going to appeal to the people who feel as though they don’t fit in, because I am a young woman of color and I grew up being an alien in my community." Aluna's sensual and smooth voice is illuminated by George Reid's production on their Champagne Eyes EP.
