As we all know, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged this past weekend while they were vacationing in paradise. Jennifer shared images of the special moment that showed her genuine reaction to A-Rod getting on one knee on a white sand beach asking for her hand in marriage.
Page Six now reports that the former baseball player spent a whole seven months shopping for the perfect engagement ring. This means that a year and a half after dating, Alex knew that he wanted to be with Jennifer forever and he waited until just over their two-year dating mark to make things official.
“Alex had been shopping around for the right ring for the past seven months, he knew for a long time that he wanted to propose to Jennifer. He wanted to get it right. The proposal has been a long time coming, Alex knew she was the one and has been painstakingly planning everything," a source revealed to the publication.
“But when it came to the big moment, he didn’t tell anyone, none of his friends or family — and not even Benny [Medina, J.Lo’s long-term and trusted manager]. He wanted it to be quiet and personal.”
