New York emcee AG Da Coroner has been repping the old school hip hop flag since day 1, and today we’ve got another track in the same vein. On “My Truth” AG spits just that, telling stories of coming up in the ghetto and seeing some wild shit. He shouts out Rakim, Kool G Rap and Public Enemy as three artist that helped him get through the tough times and inspired him to keep rapping.
The song is off of his upcoming album Sip The Nectar, due out March 10. The song features subdued percussion, with AG Da Coroner spitting over a horn sample loop. It would work excellently as the lead up to a banger, but we’ll have to wait till next month to find out.
