Are these adidas Originals kicks too bright, or just right?

The monochrome look is still going quite strong, and this new Tubular Nova from adidas Originals is no exception. This time the shoes come in an all-over red look, from the tongue to the laces to the sole.

The single color look is definitely a classic, although with brighter colors there’s always the risk that the shoe will lose some of its details. However, adidas Originals avoids this by using a variety of materials throughout the upper. The lace cage and toe are made up of suede, while the toe box and tongue use neoprene. The heel strip is mad of a custom nylon, and the light reflects off of the different textures cleanly.

The adidas Original Tubular Nova “Red” is hitting boutiques now, and retails for $120. Just don’t wear ‘em on the wrong side of town.
