Adamn Killa didn't waste any time sprucing up the artillery shelf. "Brain Freeze Freestyle" has been released in single and video format, the visuals acting as accompaniment more than anything. The two minute clip sees Adamn Killa holed up in his condo with exterior lights flashing on the limestone. It's as if Killa is a fugitive and the lights are agents of paranoia closing in on him.

Adamn Killa often chooses production that summons feelings of dread. Hip hop's current obsession with opioid consumption has had a dulling effect on music that is supposed to convey the coming of a dark age. Some hip hop writers have referred to the production style as Post-Trap, but even that feels reductive up to a point.

"Brain Freeze Freestyle" is like many of his other records describing paranoia and trapping in the same sentence. This song like many others puts us in the mind of someone growing hostile not by chance, but by choice.

Quotable Lyrics:

N----- mad 'cause they bad habits
Talkin' on the Internet bad tactics
Bitch I'm on fire like a damn dragon
