Last night, Peruvian singer A.CHAL dropped his new album On Gaz, which features eleven tracks of futuristic R&B vibes. One of the standout cuts is "Past Chick," which examines Chal's prior relationship with a nice blend of nostalgia, wistfulness, and determination to move forward. While ex girlfriends remain a frequent muse in hip-hop, A.CHAL navigates the territory well, acknowledging the vulnerability of a breakup while still exuding mad confidence.

With smooth, polished production and some dope Spanish guitar, A.CHAL's "Past Chick" is a great listen for anybody feeling down over a breakup.

Quotable Lyrics

I know I left some things in your palm
And you know you left some pictures on my camera roll
The things we gotta let go “I know nothing, babe”
I try to stay true to my youth and my honor
