Zhijun Wang has made a name for himself by cutting up highly coveted sneakers and turning them into masks that people in the streets of Beijing can wear to combat the city's pollution.

People in Beijing are often advised to wear masks if they're stepping out for the day but Wang's most recent project isn't your standard industrial respirator.

The designer has been carving up the recently released "Beluga" Yeezy Boost 350 V2 and turning them into wearable masks, using the rope laces to keep everything secured. According to Wang, like all of his sneaker-inspired masks, this Yeezy joint is actually functional though I doubt there's many people that will willingly supply him with their $220 Yeezys just to see them get diced up.

Check out the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 mask as well as some of his other projects below.
