Born and raised in Lynwood California Gunz was challenged by the everyday struggle's in urban society due to poverty, gangs, drugs and corrupt law enforcement. His only escape was Hip Hop culture, He began tapping into the arts at the age of 13 threw Graffiti. "This is where my name originated from".. As he matured the music in his blood destined him for greatness. he began rapping at age 18 and first began recording music at Compton college studios. Z earned a reputation as a vicious m.c by winning rap battles and lyrically destroying rappers on campus as well as different colleges throughout Los Angeles.
