Jeezy Announces "Trap Or Die 3" As Next Album
The Snowman is back. Jeezy's last album, November's Church in These Streets, was a turn in the politically-minded direction for the veteran rapper. Perhaps his latest single, "Magic City Monday," featuring Future and 2 Chainz, should've signaled a return to the hard-hitting trap anthems he's best known for. Jeezy has now announced that his next project will be the third installment of his beloved "Trap or Die" series.
DJ Quik Says YG's Management Failed To Credit Him For Work On "My Nigga" [UPDATE: YG Responds]
Six weeks ago, Compton legend DJ Quik threatened to sue an unnamed Compton rapper. Welp. It turns out that that rapper is YG. Late Sunday night, Quik took to Twitter to call out YG and his management for failing to credit him for his contributions to YG's platinum hit "My Nigga." "Y'all had me engineer and record My Nigga for YG and did not give me credit," Quik wrote. "My Lawyer has you [in] his sights. You've fucked up."
French Montana's "MC4" Tracklist Features Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Nas & More
French Montana finally has a concrete release date for his album MC4, which is also (finally) getting some buzz thanks to his single with Drake, "No Shopping," although the single caught more attention for Drake lyrics possibly dissing Joe Budden than it did for French.
Behind The Beat: J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League
J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League was formed in 2003 when Rook and Colione, two established producers in their mid-twenties, teamed up with Kenny Barto, a young Full Sail University student in Tampa, Florida. Their discography hides the years of hard work each put in perfecting their craft. You won’t find obscure local artists or years of mixtape instrumentals among their early production credits. The first 3 entries in their discography on Wikipedia are Young Jeezy, Mary J. Blige, and Juelz Santana.
Top Tracks: June 20 - June 26
Summer officially began this past week, and with it came a whole bevy of huge tracks, most of the biggest ones being collabs. There's something decidedly warm weather about the low-stakes posse cut, and that's mainly what our list consists of this week. All but two of these ten tracks didn't appear on last week's Top Ten, with a bunch of stuff falling off in the past week.
Jeezy Announces "Magic City Monday" Single With 2 Chainz & Future
Anyone who listens to Atlanta rap knows by now that Magic City is the place to be on a Monday night, and in case you've missed the many lyrical references to this particular event (which brings out the biggest rappers in the game and features DJ Esco behind the boards), the new Jeezy single should make the appeal pretty clear.
5 Classic Gucci Mane & Zaytoven Collaborations
Gucci Mane and Zaytoven have been working together since they both scored there first hit in 2005 with "Icy," and have developed their respective sounds together ever since. Since 2013, Gucci Mane has been behind bars, unable to record music (though constantly releasing songs from his stash), while Zay has been further fine-tuning his sound, adding his signature church-informed organ sound to mixtapes from Future, Migos, and more. Gucci was released last month, and has already released one song, "First Day Out Tha Feds," a sequel to his Zaytoven collabm "First Day Out".

Future & Jeezy Joined Cam Newton On Field Before Today's Game
Is it really any wonder Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton has led his team to Super Bowl 50? He's got the best dab outside of the Migos camp, and he's earned the support of two of Atlanta's most important rappers, Jeezy and Future Hendrix, both whom joined Cam on the field before today's NFC Championship Game vs. the Arizona Cardinals.
The Obamas' 10 Most Hip Hop Moments
President Obama recently made headlines when he announced that his favorite song from the year was Kendrick Lamar's "How Much A Dollar Cost?" If there's one year-end list you want to be on, it's the President's. Our current commander-in-chief, and his family, have been the most culturally-savvy first family that this country has ever had, and a big portion of that is how their names continuously pop up next to hip hop culture.
Charts Don't Lie: November 25th
After multiple weeks without any big chart debuts, we were starting to think it was a drought. Thankfully, last week saw some HUGE releases, with Justin Bieber, Logic, Jeezy, and Ty Dolla $ign all dropping their albums. Biebs unsurprisingly came out on top, beating out fellow pop superstars One Direction in what turned out to be less of a battle than expected (1D moved 460,000 units to Bieber's 649k). Nevertheless it was the first time two debuting albums had sold over 400k in one week since Kanye West and 50 Cent's infamous head-to-head in 2007.

Review: Jeezy's "Church in These Streets"
Rap was born in New York, but it’s been splitting time in a few cities lately. It has a condo in Chicago, a house in the Los Angeles area. Rap probably has a couch to crash on in Houston and goes to Toronto a couple times a year as well. Most recently it has spent a boatload of time in Atlanta.
Sales Projections For Jeezy, Logic & Justin Bieber
The biggest battle on this charts is between pop sensations Justin Bieber and One Direction, but it's far from the only one.As it stands, Bieber is looking to take the number one spot with Purpose, with 425-450k in traditional sales, and 475-500k with streams, but it's damn close, with 1D looking to come in with 415-440k (450-475k with streams). And of course, on to the actual rap releases -- Logic is set to move an impressive 85-90k (90-95k with streams), while Jeezy is expected to sell a more modest 60-65k (65-70k with streams).
