When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh-huh honey".

Jeezy just dropped his highly anticipated album Seen It All: The Autobiography on Tuesday (9/2), and with that release comes the usual promo runs to go along with it. After stopping by various media publication this week, Jeezy is linking up with Ustream & Hot 97 tonight for a live album release concert in NYC. Taking place at Manhattan’s Stage 48, The Snowman will perform some of his new records off Seen It All, as well as run through hits from some of his previous projects too. This should be a dope show to say the least.

Although it's pretty clear at this point that police are not investigating Wiz Khalifa in regards to the fatal shooting that occurred backstage at his "Under The Influence" tour last weekend, the event will have repercussions for the Taylor Gang boss. That became apparent today when Michigan State University announced the cancellation of a Wiz Khalifa concert scheduled to take place on campus on September 13th.

Jeezy 'bout to have our comment section going crazy with Illuminati talk for this one. The rapper took to his Instagram today to reveal the cover art for his forthcoming album Seen It All: The Autobiography. He didn't just throw the artwork up though, he posted a video which slowly reveals the symbols on the artwork, and one such symbol is the infamous Eye of Providence. He captioned it, "Realest album of the year."

"No Tears" features fellow ATL resident Future, and for the song's video, he and Jeezy travelled to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. With Jeezy rocking some fresh Hood By Air gear, and Future looking every bit of his "Future Hendrix" nickname, the pair are seen overlooking the ocean, by a pool and hanging out with some locals.
