Xtrakt The Executioner
It all began back in the year Y2K. I dabbled my hand at composing my own lyrics aged 13 transitioning from the kid who recited his favorite rap tunes in the bed room to wanting a more challenging task than a karaoke performer. Heavily influenced by the United States scene ranging from both the West & East coasts, neighboring through the mid regional parts including the Down South movement in the mid to late 90's brought myself to be emerged in that style of music by the time I came in to my own. Hardcore Gangsta to the Boom Bap Conscience genre's, I wasn't one to discriminate and was naturally drawn towards anything I decided to be good in my books. Along with N.Z's Hip Hop, R&B and Urban up rise during these days thanks to such labels as UPR and Dawn Raid ENT an appreciation for local and nation wide acts, artists, groups and their music became apparent certifying my willingness to be apart of this community. Over time it has been very much a side hobby with no real intent to break through as they say. Early groups to the most recent include the Verbal Asasonz (2002), Prolifk (2003) and SBFAMZ (2004) all of which were made up of mutual friends and close constitutes from the same circles. Nothing has been officially released besides a lazy track, feature or two here and there and lost demo tapes. I've done my thing in open cyphers, house party shindigs, high school pavilion gatherings and lunch time concerts. Gigged at numerous locations and venues, paid and voluntary. The drive has always remained but now that I'm a solo entity with little next to nothing to show due to the lack of action of my behalf its time, be it overdue to make my mark.
