Easton local native Xay Lush, Born Xavier Cordis, has been writing spoken word and poetry since the age of 12 when he first began making an journal. Now, Currently 24, music has been another means of utilizing his stories and poems that he's never openly expressed.
At childhood, Xavier was Know as the performer of his family, constantly dancing for friends and relatives and singing in choir at his elementary school. Given opportunities to travel overseas to perform and record with fellow vocalists, he was denied due to financial reasons.
Throughout high school, Xavier was known for his ever experimentation style on his journey to finding himself and acceptance. Using dance as an outlet, Xavier and his peers decided to create the first Hip Hop dance team In Easton Area High school sharing captain position with Co-group Break dancers.
Generalizing himself in the Rap/Hip Hop category, He hopes to transcend genre by experimentation with his sound of soulful vocals and chilling lyrics of past experiences and politics.
