Lil Wayne & Wiz Khalifa Are Now Available For DJ Performances
As if Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa aren’t making enough money these days, the two are looking to expand their bank accounts thanks to a new profession in DJ'ing. According to TMZ, both Wayne & Wiz have been inspired by Snoop Dogg's recent success with spinning music, which includes a residency in Vegas, that the two rappers are now setting their own prices and looking to follow in suit.
Watch All The Performances From The 2015 Billboard Music Awards
The 2015 Billboard Music Awards just wrapped up at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While it wasn’t as eventful as Miguel’s infamous leg drop, it sure was a special night for performances as some of industry's biggest names took the stage.
Kanye West, Nicki Minaj & Wiz Khalifa To Perform At Billboard Music Awards 2015
The Billboard Music awards aren't quite the VMAs when it comes to spectacle, but following Miguel's now infamous leg drop stunt, they're pretty damn close. This year, they've definitely booked the right performers to create some spontaneous moments, namely, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.
Who Had The Better Verse: Wiz Khalifa Vs. Curren$y
Who doesn’t love Wiz and Spitta? Now they won’t be the first ones to be lauded for being complex lyricists. But guess what, that’s ok. They may not wow you with lyrically-dense bars, but they are both able to meticulously string together hypnotic records. Individually, they earned their respective fans because of their relentless work ethic and penchant for making smooth tunes.
Wiz Khalifa's Phone Background Is A Photo Of Drake
Wiz Khalifa was so charmed with a photo of Drake occupying his phone lockscreen that he screencapped it and tweeted it out Friday for all the world to see. Few rappers would make Drake or any other rapper besides themselves as their lockscreen background, let alone willingly share it on social media. But Wiz Khalifa is no ordinary rapper. After a handful of Wiz's curious followers inquired about the screencap, he responded that the picture "reminds [him] of prom" and "Luckily im not one of those idiots who cares what other people think."
Quiz: Whose Baby Mama?
For Mother's Day we're offering up a fun quiz to see how well you know your rapper baby mamas. Rappers are prone to having multiple baby mamas, and so it can be a task to keep up with them. Not only that, but given the close-knit music industry, it's not uncommon for rappers to exchange baby mamas, or at least, take on another rapper's lady after the couple breaks up.

Wiz Khalifa Details PARTYNEXTDOOR Collaboration & Mixtape With Curren$y
Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz" was inescapable last summer, and it seems the Taylor Gang rapper may have the warmer months on lock once again. Currently sitting at number one on the Billboard charts, Khalifa has big plans for the near future, working on a joint project with Curren$y, as well as getting ready to release what sounds like a pretty massive collab with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Wiz Khalifa Performs "See You Again" & "We Dem Boyz" On SNL
If you weren't busy watching Floyd Mayweather extend his undefeated streak to 48-0, you could've caught Wiz Khalifa making his Saturday Night Live debut last night. Wiz took center stage and was joined by pop singer Charlie Puth on piano, as the duo performed their "Furious 7" single "See You Again," which currently sits atop the charts for the third consecutive week.
Top 10 Amber Rose Name-Drops
By now, you all don't need an introduction to Amber Rose. Like it or not, she's a big deal in hip-hop. The former stripper turned video girl first caught the eye of Kanye West in Ludacris' "What Them Girls Like" video, and the two soon began a relationship that lasted almost two years. After 'Ye, she moved on to Wiz Khalifa, whom she married two years later. Somehow between marriage and a kid, Rose continued to cement herself as one of the baddest bitches in hip-hop.
Rappers Share Their Smoking Preferences For 4/20
Today may not be a government-mandated holiday, but for those who advocate a green lifestyle, it's just as important as any other statutory holiday. Rap music has a special niche for all the weed smokers out there, however it's really transcended that niche genre and has become pretty common-place. Every other song has a reference (or three) about lighting up/rolling up/smoking up. It's safe to say we don't need a reason to smoke, but hey, we'll take one.
Charts Don't Lie: April 18
This week marks the end of an era, with Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" unseating the seemingly invincible "Uptown Funk". The success of Khalifa's record was seen in album sales as well with Furious 7 moving up to the top spot on the Billboard 200. This week saw no big debuts, and we watched Wale and Ludacris fall 10-plus spots following their opening weeks last cycle. Take a look at the full breakdown below.
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (April 11 - April 17)
Barter 6. Cherry Bomb. OMEEKA. This week was filled with activity in the hip hop world, and as usual, a lot of it spilled onto Twitter. We saw a little bit of non-confrontational beef, some trolling and some self-congratulatory behavior-- so it was a pretty standard week, all in in all. Read on to get the funniest, most noteworthy tweets of the week, and let us know what we missed in the comments section.
Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" Breaks Two Spotify Records
We're seeing a lot of Spotify records being broken these days, which says more about the prevalence of streaming than anything, but while Drake and Kendrick's recent triumphs could be seen from a mile away, Wiz Khalifa's new records are rather surprising. "See You Again," which makes the jump to number one on Billboard's Hot 100 this week (unseating the unfuckwithable "Uptown Funk"), made its way there largely through streaming, setting the record for most streams in day (4.2 million) and most streams in a week (21.9 million from April 6th and April 12th).
Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" Hits #1 On The Charts
In early January, Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" hit #1 on the charts, and it's stayed there ever since--marking the second longest #1 streak of all time (next to Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day)--until this week.
Wiz Khalifa Discusses Why "Kush & OJ" Is Viewed As A Classic On Its 5th Anniversary
Wiz Khalifa has been putting out music since 2005, but it wasn't until 2010 that he had his major breakthrough with Kush & OJ, a mixtape that celebrates its fifth anniversary today. In an interview with MTV, Wiz spoke of the mixtape being viewed as "his classic," a title he had yearned for since getting into rap.
Review: Curren$y "Pilot Talk III"
After a near-decade of hustling, Curren$y has finally landed his prominent role in the rap scene. It wasn’t easy work, but anyone who has watched the New Orleans-native go from Lil Wayne’s sidekick to stoner rap’s most consistent contributor will tell you that much. For his third Pilot Talk album, Curren$y didn’t reinvent the wheel, but he definitely refined it. His vision is clearer now more than ever: funny rhymes + some swaggy braggadocio + luxurious production = success. It also equates to a pleasant listen each time.
#TBT: Mixtape Khalifa
Before Wiz Khalifa was a household name, he was on the mixtape grind. Before he was selling out stadiums, he was shelling out free material and making fans all over the internet. A few years later, the guy was everywhere. Wiz is another example of how free music (and the internet) can lead to fruitful careers. If it wasn't for the highly popular Kush & Orange Juice mixtape, who knows if we'd even be writing this article today.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (March 28 - April 3)
This week, we saw big releases from Wale and Ludacris, the (anticlimactic) announcement of Jay Z's new TIDAL streaming service, and some sick new tapes from T-Pain, iLoveMakonnen and Wiz Khalifa/Ty Dolla $ign. At the end of 2015's first quarter, we've gotten a ton of quality music, and it's looking like the rest of the year will keep the energy and excitement up.
