Jatory Dequez Perry (born December 24, 1995), better known by his stage name Always Sptting Barz, All Star Boi or simply ASB, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. Jatory Perry was born in Mountain Home AFB (located in Boise, Idaho). He grew up moving from base to base every 4 years, since both of his parents were serving in the military. He started writing raps in 3rd grade in after moving to an air force base located in Tokyo, Japan, but didn’t start recording until 4th grade. He used to record on his cell phone, but due to the inappropriate song topics, and lyrics, he was punished. He continued to write in 5th grade, and would freestyle at the base’s youth center. In 2006 Perry and two friends started a rap group called KKP(Killa Krew Productions). They found members by recruiting their friends, but the main members were Perry, his friend Jah'Lani Dempsey, and another friend, Jerry Cannon. Dempsey and Perry started making songs at Perry’s house with a shotgun mic, and quickly learned how to use Fl Studio and another program called Audacity. A year later, Jatory had gotten better, and set up a small studio inside the base's youth center, where he and Cannon would make songs on the computers. In 7th grade, a lunch monitor, Reginald Prathers. He had listened to Jatory’s music on youtube (/dequez2003), and decided he would help the boys with their careers. He introduced them to Mikeece ‘Keys’ Gadsen, a producer on the base. The trio began working on a song called ‘Bob Ya Head’. Keys helped the boys work on a demo, consisting of 5 songs, and then Perry moved in 2008, to his current location, Las Vegas. During the winter of 2008, Perry got an M-Audio Studio Producer microphone and was now able to make quality music. For the next few years, he would make songs and mixtapes, a distribute them among his peers at school. In the summer of 2009, Perry had really mastered the technique and was now attempting to broaden his music, and went to Twitter to do it. There, he met Aaron ‘Dubbz’ Grady, and he was heavily impressed by his music. He had a song, ‘Big Swag’ and had sent it to Grady for a collab. Grady had accepted his offer, and got on the second verse of the song. The song had received great feedback on Twitter, and gained Perry a small fan base. He then started making more and more songs with Aaron, and was initiated into the group ‘SpitSick’. Through Twitter, Jatory had met many people and was now raising the eyebrow of hip-hop fans. During the upcoming Autumn, he worked on his mixtape ‘SwagZilla’. He released in Febuary of 2010 and it was generally received positively throughout the web. He followed it with the release of ‘SwagZilla Vol. 2’. And ever since these releases, he has been creating songs, and spreading them through the use of the internet. On New Years Day 2012, ASB dropped his mixtape 'Cartoon Network', where he took requests from his fans and made covers of popular industry song. In the Summer of 2011, he and his bestfriend, actor Nick Nervies (Project X, the Soloist, Role Models), were in the talks of a record deal with numerous record labels, but Perry refused to settle for a change to get big. That same summer he started the group, The FlyOnes (DiamondBacks), and continued to pursue his dream. Now, Perry, is affiliated with J-Kwon's (Tipsy) HoodHop Music, working with his manager William Bond (N-Credible) and super producer H-Snow Beatz in Las Vegas to try and perfect his craft. Despite his young age, Perry has an unmatched mind, and talent, is promised a bright future.
