Wale Announces "Album About Nothing" For The Fall
Wale was off the Twitter tip for a period time, stemming from all the drama centered around his angry phone call to the Complex offices when they snubbed him on their year-end lists. In the end, Wale wrote an open letter on his blog explaining his hiatus in full, but in recent times the MMG rapper has returned to the Twittersphere.

Wale Explains Twitter Hiatus In New Letter
Wale was off Twitter for a minute, but he resurfaced on the social media outlet this week. As someone who could easily be described as a hothead, the MMG rapper had a tendency to get a little too caught up in social media slander (you may remember when a harmless question about anime escalated to Wale threatening Sir Michael Rocks).
Wale Speaks On Making It Without Being A "Media Darling" On The Breakfast Club
Wale put out a hit album last year, but his angry phonecall to Complex in wake of them leaving The Gifted off of their year end list ended his 2013 on a weird note. In a new sit-down with the Breakfast Club, Wale elaborated on why the lack of recognition bothers him so much, revealed plans for his next album, and explained how his fans are the key to taking him to the next level in his career.
Wale Talks About Spazzing On Complex
As tends to happen with Wale, he momentarily lost his cool during a phone call with Complex last week, and the phone call itself (which Complex recorded) ended up circulating the web. The reason for Wale's call was due to the fact that the MMG rapper had been neglected from Complex's year-end 50 Best Albums of 2013. Perhaps this was the final straw, as Wale's The Gifted had already been left off other publications' year-end lists as well.
Wale Spazzes On Complex Over Their 50 Best Albums Of 2013 List [Update: Wale Responds]
We're at that time of year when just about every publication is working on their year-end list (count us among them), and while they're not necessarily meant to ruffle feathers, that can happen, when artists feel like they are unjustly excluded from these lists.
Wale Tells Us How To Reject Women Like Mutombo
Dikembe Mutombo has been a mainstay reference for rappers since the 90s. Usually rappers are talking about how big they are, on the block, or how their money is "long like Mutombo." The NBA legend has seen a post-playing career resurgence of late as his trademark blocking prowess followed by his signature finger waving were used in a viral GEIKO commercial.

Wale & Sir Michael Rocks Engage In Twitter Beef
This is pretty random, but somehow MMG's Wale and Sir Michael Rocks of The Cool Kids got into a small Twitter beef last night. Wale's no stranger to beef, but we don't usually hear about Mikey getting mixed up in it. Wale had tweeted a question to his fans a few days ago, asking, "Whats the best anime series?" For whatever reason, Mikey Rocks saw this and called him out, tweeting, "Yo u will b super Sus talkin about anime G its not u." It seemed at first Wale didn't realize this was 1/2 of The Cool Kids, but once he did, he told Mikey to watch who he's talking too.

The MMG rapper started his review with a rather bold, yet valid point. “Jay Is the greatest to do it -- hands down." He says your really just mad if you debate that Jay isn't the greatest. Talking further about the album, Wale wrote the following review:
First Week Sales For MMG's "Self Made Vol. 3 "

Review: MMG's "Self Made Vol. 3"
Mmmmaybach music. The heaviest group in hip-hop presents the third volume of their Self Made album series. Formulaically, the self-proclaimed untouchable Maybach empire haven't missed a step. Likewise previous installments in the series, Self Made Vol. 3 is packed with speaker-knocking beats driven by Rozay and company. Little new is brought to the table, but that doesn't mean the double-M G crew isn't still eating.
Charts Don't Lie: August 18
This week was obviously a memorable one for hip-hop, with Big Sean's "Control" dropping and a Kendrick Lamar frenzy ensuing. While the verse has received way more attention than we could have imagined, plenty of rappers are retaliating and introducing new excitement into the rap game which isn't a bad thing.
