Alvin "Vinthoven" Giles is a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Jazz Studies and Commercial Music. He was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He is a multifaceted instrumentalist who began studying piano at age six. He studied saxophone and percussion in middle school and marched snare drum in high school. He went on to study jazz piano at FAMU. He began producing in his junior year of high school and started rapping his freshman year of college. The rest is history... in the making. Vinthoven's b.k.a. Vthov's music is highly regarded as a breath of fresh air. He intricately weaves musical elements together with fluctuating rhyme schemes to produce a fresh sound. He has inconceivably merged the virtues of self-worth and a positive outlook, with contemporary swag. Although a big fan of hip hop and many of his contemporaries... he is not a Dboy or a gang banger, and his music escapes the confines of mainstream taste to bring his listeners raw thought provoking lyrics over sonorous beats.
