y name is Devon Tatum also known as "Von Cruise”. I am currently under the genre of Hip-Hop and Commercial music. I am from Chicago, Illinois but currently resided in Calumet City, Illinois. I started working on music in the 4th grade as I played in Paul Roberson High School band as a lead snare drummer. As, I progressed with my musical gift; I started rapping at the age of 14yrs old with a group named M.L.C (Money Land Click). There were many things occurring with the group where by, the age of 17 I had found my calling to become a solo artist. I am currently working on my first solo CD entitled: Broken Silence. Also, I am working with music promoter Mrs. Latoya Madlock where I will be doing shows around the Chicago areas. I have recently joined a popular music site http://truestaris.com/ which gives young Chicago artist a chance to shine have their music heard around Chicago. Also, I have a Facebook and Myspace account where I try to promote and get feedback on my music. Throughout my music journey I have accomplished many things such as: popular television show’ “The Royce Glamour Show”, I have auditioned for music recording artist Ne-yo A & R and I have also performed for music recording artist Robert from Day26,I just recently won the teenbizness.com "Upgrade your sound May contest, I have also been live on the radio station Power 92.3 where they played my first single "i rock skinniez". I’ve had positive feedback from many people from around Illinois because as a young man growing up in Chicago; I have educated myself to the point where I never used inappropriate language in none of the music I have recorded thus far. In the near future, I will be recording more music and doing more local show around the Illinois area. In August 2010 I opened up for music group Kidz in the hall. I will be also working on building my own independent music label called “Silence Productions” where I will accompany by my brothers Darrius and Jarmel Tatum which, is growing a huge fanbase across the nation. I will be working on new genres such as: Rock, Pop, R&B, Techno and much more....And as I always say “Music is everybody's possession.
