U-Gene Chinn was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to Phoenix, Arizona when he was in middle school. He's always been a huge fan of music but throughout the years he grew more fond of hip-hop and rap. He started off freestyling and discovered his natural ability to not only rhyme words but to control a crowd at the same time. From then on he started writing and putting tracks together. The recognition he got from family and friends pushed him to take it to the next level. He entered in a competition at a local club in the summer of 2010 for a chance to open up for some well known artists. Despite barely losing, he stayed positive and took it as a learning experience so he could better himself as an artist and performer. Since then he's opened for mainstream artists, such as Ray J, 3 6 Mafia, Kid Ink, MGK, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. He also supports other local artists on stage by using his stage presence to hype their performances. He is determined and dedicated to expanding his fan base and furthering his career as an artist. U-Gene is currently working on a couple mixtapes. "Zero Patience" is his main project containing all original beats and "Da ReMiX" being a collection of remixed main stream tracks. He's also stepping in front of the camera to shoot music videos for few of the tracks on the mixtapes. With clever lyrics and unique style his music is sure to have something for everyone to appreciate.
