"Welcome to the end of the rap game in its current form.”
Die Vs City Entertainment presents UCY, a self motivated hip hop duo. By using Hip Hop lyrical expressions along with the diversity of various musical genres and styles, UCY carries the music world into a new dimension. An independent label, D.V.C. Entertainment is formulated to personify diversity by stepping outside the realm of just another hip hop label.
K-Muney, AKA Kyle Carter II, has honed his musically versed mind since the age of 13 with exposures to R&B and hip hop. Born in Germany to a military family, K-Muney utilizes his travels and experience when creating music. He has performed in numerous shows to include opening for Raven Samone, Lil Jon and the East Side Boys, Lil Flip, and Zero. K-Muney has also made a special appearance in Lil Flip’s “I’m Da Man” hit video. Yung Drifta, AKA Aaron Franklin, trained accomplished vocalist and nothing less than a lyrical monster, soon joined the UCY movement. Born in California, later also travelling with his military family, uses his experiences to take UCY’s music to the next level. Adding a mixture of bass, alto, and soprano R&B vocals, along with fierce lyrical rap deliveries, has also opened for artists such as Zro. Together they have taken on the roles of C.E.O.’s of D.V.C. Entertainment, song writers, producers and artists. “Man, we were tired of record labels’ broken promises, shady dealings, and undisciplined business practices. Our goal is to show that this can be done by two hungry, Southern Boss hogs.” Representing Killeen, Texas, UCY has been inspired by the likings of Twista, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Tupac, Swisha House, Snoop, Dr Dre, N.W.A., U.G.K, Jay-Z, DJ Screw, and DJ Quick. True entrepreneurs, U.C.Y. has sharpened their skills by collaborating with Producers G1, Chris “Clutch” Heintz (Mach I Music), DJ Quick, and Baby Boi.
Past projects include a mix tape titled “ITMCB” (I Think My CD’s Broken) with hits “Boss Ass Nicca”, “Make Me Say”, “Still Breakin Shit”, “Hatin Cuz We Skatin”, and “Cold MC”. Current projects include the mix tape “Insomniac Filez” and the soon to be released album “World on Fiya”. With such dedication, UCY embodies the guillotine, the symbol of D.V.C. Ent. “It’s easy to get stuck and settled in the same old routine of your environment and doors begin to close. The guillotine chops down those doors and creates opportunity.” In the end the choice is that of the people. With each track created, the diversity of their talent is exposed. You never know what lyrical experience you are going to get from this duo.
