The Free TC singer weighs in on fake asses, horseback riding, flip flops, 311, pumpkin pie and more -- his answers do not disappoint.

Oakland DJ Da Boy Dame, who also works as the A&R for Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group, put together his first single, "Do Ya," last April, on which he recruited the talents of three Cali R&B singers: Ty Dolla $ign, Adrian Marcel, and Eric Bellinger. It's a sexy slow jam, but with subtle hints of trap and EDM, "Do Ya" also functions as a nice party record -- as witnessed in the new video.

This like nothing else out right now, and that’s being said in a good manner. Check it out.

We're now a few weeks removed from Ty Dolla $ign's Free TC, but the rapper hasn't slowed down the work grind. This morning he was a guest on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee. Ty kicks off the interview with a discussion of his debut album, and his brother TC who is currently locked up for life. DJ Envy gets a few things off his chest, after hearing from an intern that Ty apparently did a "shitty" interview "on purpose," and so clears the air with Ty about it.

At the end of last week, Dutch EDM trio Yellow Claw made a big entry into the hip-hop world by teaming up with three of L.A.'s hottest acts, DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla $ign, and Tyga, for a new single, "In My Room." And everyone has already gathered in L.A. for the new video, which shows a fittingly rowdy atmosphere to the definitively West Coast electro-house banger.

Ty Dolla $ign's Free TC is getting great reactions from fans so far, and as varied as the project is, one moment everyone can agree to be a highlight is "Saved". Serving as a logical progression from the influential RnBass sound of "Paranoid," it ups the ante with a glossier instrumental and an even stickier hook. As usual, Ty hasn't skimped on the visuals either, with some very psychedelic, celestial imagery. The most interesting effect is probably the book-ended chopped-and-screwed version of the song, which is paired with some particularly stylish visuals.

Three weeks before the release of his debut album Free TC, Ty Dolla $ign came by HNHH Studios for his October/November digital cover photoshoot. Ty was low-energy but amicable, a "chillster" in the word of one staffer, smoking plenty of chronic as photographer Elijah Dominique went to work.

These days, you need a Kill Bill-siren 808 Mafia beat in your rotation, and Ty Dolla $ign got his with the DJ Spinz and Southside-produced "Violent" from Airplane Mode. As a result, it sounds a lot like a Future song, but we're not complaining. The track now has a video which pairs live footage of Ty with instances of police brutality and the like. It's a difficult watch at points, which is why is complete with a warning in the intro.

Travis Barker's new single stays true to his California roots, assembling a who's-who of West Coast hitmakers. It's clear at this point that a Mustard-esque beat and a Ty Dolla $ign hook is a recipe for success, and verses from some of the regions proven radio presences don't hurt either.
