Twan Da Great

Antwan Newkirk, also known as TDG (Twan Da Great) was born October 12, 1987 in Elizabethtown, NC and relocated to Fayetteville, NC when he was 6 years old. TDG was raised by his mother who worked as a store manager at a grocery store and step father who served in the military. TDG started making beats and rapping in the 6th grade. TDG also attended half his highschool years at Western Harnett Highschool and the rest at Overhills Highschool where he became known for his music by passing out mixtapes in school. TDG has performed in a many different states such as TN, NY, GA, SC, AZ, etc... TDG is also known for his production which he goes by TDG Beatz. TDG has did a lot work with Hip-Hop recording artist and writer Sacario who wrote “If I Could Go” for Angie Martinez, which debuted to much acclaim in 2001. The record won a Nielson BDS spin award for accumulating over 190,000 radio spins. TDG has release three mixtapes “I Be Twan”, Bipolar”, and his latest mixtape “Straight Like That” which can me found on . TDG has a very unique sound and is determined to leave a mark in the Hip-Hop industry...
