Dontiel “The Truth aka Trouble” Allison is a, 22 year old, hip-hop/rap artist out of the city of Champaign,IL. The young man began doing music at the age of 12, by writing and performing R&B songs for his teachers and classmates. When he became 13, he wrote his first rap verse and quickly realized that this was where his talent must lie. Throughout the years Dontiel began to write more and more until he had accumulated over 200 verses. When The Truth turned 18 in 2007, he went to Southern Illinois University and met up with a fellow rapper by the name of Jim “ECK” Ecklund. The two formed a rap group by the name of “10th Flow”, and quickly produced an eighteen track mixtape that was circulated throughout the college. During which time, The Truth also wrote and recorded his first solo effort entitled “DRIVEN” One year later he released a second solo project entitled “Showtime: The Mixtape”. The tape included his long time friend and second half of his rap duo DIZZY APE, Ian “Crunkel” Kunkel. This project generated enough buzz to get one of his songs, “Play Me On The Radio”, onto the local radio station HOTT 105.5. Though the song was played, it did not stay in rotation. The next year in 2009, The Truth worked all summer long to produce a city-wide heard album entitled “High Times In Low Places”, which received a good amount of praise amongst his community. The album included other local artist such as: Crunkel, Oozy P, and C-Critical. The release of this record landed The Truth performances at the local “Highdive Club” and other venues as well. 2009 to 2010 Truth released his 5th mixtape entitled "hiTunes". It was locally recieved VERY nicely and even landed Truth a headline show at The University of Illinois Champagn-Urbana. 2010-Present Truth has released his 6th mixtape entitled "The H.A.T.E Tape" which included his smash song wit rapper Lil Wyte "The Audition" following the release of "The pre-H.A.T.E Tape".
