In this digital, social media frenzy generation, hip hop artists may use all outlets to reach potential new fans, but forget the importance of creating quality music. Tru Q, hip hop artist from Memphis, Tn prides himself on giving his listeners substance and meaningful music they can relate to. With limited funds and ways to get to a professional studio, Tru took it upon himself to save up and buy the necessary equipment to record himself just to get his thoughts out. "I usually have good patience, but when I'm inspired to write music, I have to record it", says Tru. While teaching himself how to record and tweak vocals, he gained a better understanding of what it takes to create a quality sound. And with that sound, Tru has performed at various events and parties to get his face in front of audiences. From opening up for the likes of Memphis' own Yo Gotti and performing at venues such as Hard Rock Cafe, Tru Q is no stranger to the stage and the spotlight. As he continues to work diligently on his current E.P. "Forever Tru", Tru Q has his sights on becoming an artist that fans will appreciate and vibe to. With songs such as "Hustle Til I Die", "Hold You Down" and "Scandalous" to name a few, there's a song for everyone. "This will be an album I can truly say I took my time to work on and provide the best possible music for my fans and potential new supporters", says Tru. From learning how to record music to spreading his name out locally and regionally, Tru Q is bound to find a spot in hip hop with the right dedication and determination. "I've always been a humble guy and I plan to stay that way because I know where I came from", says Tru. Not only does he pride himself on creating good music, he also knows that with faith and persistence, he will finally see his dreams of being a hip hop superstar fulfilled.
