Is a promising young urban hip-hop group originating from Diani,Kenya. The group is made up of 3 members : Lloyd Marcos,Yung Purp & Shamey.Back in 2011,Trap Town was formed by rappers Lloyd Marcos & Yung 'Karim' Purp, both who were recording at the same studio based in their home town Diani. Teaming up the same year, they produced two mixtapes 'They Won't Listen' and 'Behind The Scenes' which feat best friend/FAM/hommie Yung 'Driz-ill' Dane. The two mixtapes gave them some recognition among the few listeners of urban Hip-Hop in The Coastal Province. Both born 1993,became some of the few urban Hip-Hop rappers from the provnice to have many fans online trying to reach their music.Later on, early 2012 they were joined by 'Sheila' Shamey who happened to know an underground producer they worked with...and were amazed by her young beautiful voice, thereby recruiting her to the crew. With the 17 year old they recorded their debut track City In My Backpack (`Bout My City) by Trap Town' (a track made to appreciate all the African cities in the continent) and produced magic. The song attracted almost everyone, among the many teenagers worldwide. It actually reached maximum number of downloads in its first week online on SoundCloud. Not having the right sources it's currently getting aired on only one radio station in the country, though without them delivering it there.Sadly, later on that year,Shamey had to leave for University to pursue her bachelors degree in the capital of the country but will join them in the summer when her first semester is over. They never stopped there though ,later on they produced Party In Diani by Trap Town which ended up on the same radio station and did equivalently the same to 'City In My Backpack' on the web but this time they attracted attention from many studios country wide and also gaining a massive fan base localy and partially overseas via web. Recently their third single this year Ringtones by Trap Town was uploaded on various music site and is free for download. Question is, is it going to do good? Maybe better? Maybe get a Recording deal? Time will definitely tell,Stay tuned and watch the kids doing it big.
