At first listen, it's evident that this young Hip-Hop entrepreneur does not fall into the category of 'just another simple-minded rapper'. In a culture where money, cars, clothes and hoes are relentlessly glamorized, Brooklyn bred rapper, QuanDon, refuses to stay within society's stereotypical box and feels destined to be a part of redefining the ongoing state of Hip-Hop. As a Rap artist, he strives to internationally distribute music that holds purpose and always consists of profound lyrics with backdrops of quality production. Musically influenced by NAS, Jay-Z, Slick Rick, Rakim, Kane, AZ and The Roots, just to name a few, you can easily hear how QuanDon acquired his eclectic sound. Lyrically influenced by his love of reading and upon hearing how he entwines complex vocabulary with witty metaphors, it comes as no surprise that Robert Greene, Donald Goines and Maya Angelou are a few of his favorite authors. As the creator and CEO of MAD Music, llc., he aspires to create a label where artists are treated fairly, retain creative control and are valued and promoted for their talent. QuanDon's musical career began when he first heard Wu-Tang Clan's 'Protect ya Neck' with a pair of turntables. After years of booking DJ gigs around NYC it led him to take his lyrical talent seriously. In which he then launched his first street-acclaimed mix tape in Jan.2006 "The Introduction: Mixtape Vol.1. With continued success of additional mix tape releases, "The Introduction: Mixtape Vol.2" and "MAD Music Vol.1" in NYC,AZ, ATL, Philly and CT. QuanDon then created his own film production company called "VISIONARIES" to make his first music video, "Streetlights" which received over 15,000 views on WorldStarHipHop.com in the summer of 2009. QuanDon is currently working on his first LP(Album) titled 'BeautifuL RhymeS', with an anticipated release date for summer of 2013. You can expect production from Trip Stone, X3M, Timi Hendrix, Mapptracks and Incksalonius.
