It's holiday season, and that means it's time to start rolling out the year-end lists. There was almost too much good music to handle, as notable releases week after week meant that only the hottest tracks were able to attain a shelf-life of longer than a couple of months.

This week we had a bunch of high profile releases, some of which fared better than others. G-Eazy led the pack with an impressive placement at number 5, while Rozay followed close behind at 6. On Tuesday night, NBC’s "The Voice" came to an end with it’s 9th season finale taking place live in Los Angeles. The two-hour show was filled with not just the contestants’ performances, but with performances from some of the biggest names in the music business altogether, including Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Usher, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, Coldplay, and more.
Travi$ Scott & The Weekend Performed "Antidote" Together In Houston Last Night
The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" tour is currently making its way around the country. Last night the tour stopped in Houston, hometown of opening act Travi$ Scott. La Flame had a treat in store for his hometown faithful, inviting The Weeknd to join him on stage for "Antidote," as well as "Pray For Love." We're not used to hearing The Weeknd perform with auto-tune, but he busts it out for his bro Travis, and it arguably sounds cooler than his actual singing voice. The crowd is particularly lit, even for a La Flame show.
The Weeknd Sued Over "The Hills" Sample
The Weeknd's mega-hit "The Hills" has already amassed nearly half a billion views on YouTube. But did it use an illegal sample? According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, Cutting Edge Music Limited is filing a lawsuit against Abel Tesfaye and co, alleging that he and his producers illegally sampled the score from 2013 sci fi film "The Machine."

2016 Grammy Nominations Announced
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards are going down on February 15th, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Today the nominations have been announced, with Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd nabbing quite a few-- Kendrick has eleven nominations, while The Weeknd has seven. The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" is up for Record of the Year, against Ed Sheeran ("Thinking Out Loud"), Mark Ronson ("Uptown Funk"), Taylor Swift ("Blank Space") and D'Angelo and the Vanguard ("Really Love").

The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj were among the night's big winners, taking home two awards each. The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness won Favorite Soul/R&B Album, and the year's best hip-hop album was awarded to Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint, which beat out J.
