Still Bangin (Freestyle)
Still Bangin (Freestyle)
Styles P
HOTTTTT
Two days ago Styles P got together with his old squad The LOX to spit a verse on "Bring it Back." Today he dropped the crispy new "Still Bangin" freestyle, which basically serves to tell the world that he may be 40 years old but he STILL BANGS AND HE USED TO BANG. He can still show these youngins' a lesson or two. Indeed, with its airtight flow and menacing delivery "Still Bangin" proves its own thesis correct. It is clear the fire still burns within him.

DJ Kay Slay is known to hold it down for New York, and his latest record is no exception. The DJ has recruited a multi-generational who's who of the big city's emcees, tapping Styles P and Sheek Louch of the LOX, Raekwon of The Wu-Tang Clan, Roc-A-Fella OG Rell, and newer Harlem voice Vado for the cut.

Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch go in over a frantic beat that's got that swarming of the bees sound, mixed in with ringing bells. Are you feeling it? Jagged Edge Feat. Styles P
HOTTTTT
The LOX is back in a big way over these past few days. First, the trie was blessed with appearing on the latest big single from Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V, then they hit us with a reader-acclaimed new track this morning, and now Styles P is back on his solo tip a brand new remix to Jagged Edge's "Getting Over You." With a classic throwback sound reminiscent of 90's R&B (complete with shouts from Jermaine Dupri), P sounds perfectly at home on this one.

Rootin' 4 The Villain
Boaz Feat. Jadakiss & Styles P
HOTTTTT
On October 21, Boaz will release Intuition, his debut album on Rostrum Records. Today, he's shared the first track we've heard from it, "Rootin' 4 The Villain," which features a pair of heavy-hitting verses from Jadakiss and Styles P. Sampling a familiar drum break, "Rootin' 4 The Villain" opens with Boaz comparing himself to Robin Hood and saying that weed isn't bad for him. Jada follows, sounding every bit like the "villain" in the tile with his gravelly voice, and Styles P comes through bombastically, citing Scarface as a predecessor to his villainous ways.
MARS (Dream Team)
MARS (Dream Team)
Cormega Feat. AZ, Redman & Styles P
HOTTTTT
Cormega has a brand new album dropping tomorrow, and to get the hype cycle started, he's assembled a supergroup of seasoned rappers. "MARS" is both the title of the track, and the initials of those involved (Mega, AZ, Redman, and Styles P). While that lineup is impressive enough, it should really include the legendary producer, Large Professor, who provided the beat for the song, as well as the rest of the impending album.
Please Believe
Please Believe
Styles P Feat. DJ OP
HOTTTTT
DJ OP will release his mixtape Plan B soon, and today he's shared a single track from it. "Please Believe" features Styles P spitting a pair of verses over OP's dope production. Over a beat that features a delicate piano line, Styles P goes in, his deep voice turning out two great verses. The song's chorus, sung by an unknown female vocalist, is a little dramatic, but it meshes well with OP's beat. Plan B is sure to include many similarly awesome tracks.

HOTTTTT
DJ Kay Slay knows how to bring out the guests on a remix. That's right, French Montana, Rico Love, Chinx, Gooney, Sheek Louch *and* Styles P all make appearances for this star-studded mix. The track has pleasures of its own sort, French and Styles' appearances stand out in particular. Also, with this kind of roster on a track, consistent love at the clubs is all but inevitable.

Styles P Feat. Jadakiss & Rocko
HOTTTTT
Styles P has just let go of ths new single from his upcoming album, Phantom and The Ghost, which happens to be an ode to a particular strain of weed. The NY spitter enlists fellow LOX member Jadakiss, as well as Atlanta fixture Rocko for the track. Knucklehead provides the twisty banger of an instrumental, which could fit right in with anything coming out of Atlanta these days.
Reckless

Trae Tha Truth Feat. The Lox
HOTTTTT
Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch have recently reassembled themselves as The LOX, and are steadily showing up with new material. The trio surprise-dropped (now known as "pulling a Beyonce") a new 4 track EP at the end of last year, and they're back again on the new track from Trae Tha Truth. Trae generally operates within the realm of Houston rap, but "Talk About It' is a decidedly east coast affair, definitely showing the LOX's influence. It still bears the same dark, cinematic quality that colors much of Trae's work, and works as a representative cut from both parties.
New York City
New York City
The Lox
HOTTTTT
Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch, who compose The Lox, give us another loving ode to the 5 boroughs of New York City in song titled... simply, "New York City" The trio are back at it and making music for all to enjoy since their absence. Well, it would be wrong to infer they ever disappeared but they certainly spent some time underground and they're coming back up to enjoy the sunlight. Not to mention the fact that no one does fan service like The Lox.
