With success being his main focus as he progresses forward, the Producer and Recording Artist known as Shostoppa has ignited his passion for music, and the flame continues to burn brighter as he perfects his craft. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sho Stoppa (also known as Stoppa) migrated to North Houston, Texas at the young age of two. Raised as an only child by his single mother, he was always encouraged to appreciate the wide variety of music that the world has to offer. This foundation is the basis of his undoubeted versatility. With the undying support of his mother throughout the course of his life, He has learned and currently demonstrates to others that in order to be young, successful and living or to enjoy the YSL lifestyle, you must know your passion and go for it -- you cannot be afraid to take risks. “The bigger the risk, the greater the reward” sums up the hustle, sleepless nights, and hunger that is adequately portrayed via Stoppa's undoubted musical genius, all the while proving that consistency is key with constant studio attendance and an exponentially expanding vocabulary. His ability to convey a demeanor unique from any other artist currently in the game is one of the exclusive factors that keeps him on top of his craft, and in line with his dreams. In order to manifest his belief of appreciating the good things in life, he has coined the term, “YA-YAOO” which verbally expresses elation behind a good feeling or an accomplishment. This term is motivated by the YSL lifestyle to encourage people to live in a positive manner, and to express themselves out loud. Although Stoppa has been a well rounded musician his entire life, his talent was left unrealized until his first rap battle in the cafeteria at Aldine High School. His verse effectively 'stopped the show', and he was promptly named by the positive outcries of satisfaction by his peers. He carried that momentum into Mixtape Murder Volume 1, and quickly released Volume 2 after the first volumes dynamic reception. His consistency and urge to progress gave way to Smokebreak, which was a collection of freestyles he produced in order to 'warm up' for future unreleased projects. Stoppa solidified his transition from rapper to artist by dropping theYSLcampaign in 2012 which has gained both national and international attention. As his fans patiently wait for his next release expected in the Fall of 2013, Stoppa continues to perfect his artform by staying focused and constantly working on being a better all around artist -- much more than just the Best Rapper out of Houston, Texas. A lyrical menace combined with artistic genius, Sho Stoppa is not your typical underground musician. He is a force gearing up to conquer his throne.
