Shaki is a female Chaldean-Finnish American born and raised in the suburbs right outside the city of Detroit. Starting to write at a young age, Shaki soon developed a love for her craft. Throughout high school, Shaki didn't take her craft seriously but still wrote for personal needs. It wasn't until college when she enrolled at Wayne State University into their English Major program that Shaki realized, being a writer is what she truly wants to do. Soon after changing her major, she began networking with other artists in Detroit and began performing her Spoken Word Poetry at local open mics. Her love for writing grew stronger and she decided to take it to music. Being that Spoken Word and Hip-Hop are the same in nature, Shaki gravitated to the underground Hip-Hop scene. She has released 2 mixtapes entitled, "My Mixtape" and "Diamonds" . Shaki is the story untold. A unique voice to the game. Her metaphors and her word play will send your mind racing.
