Born and raised in Chicago's Englewood community where drugs and gang activity run rampid, Lennell "Saint 'The Good Boy'" Davis Jr. has struggled to stand out amongst the rest. Taking on the responsibility of caring and providing for his mentally ill mother and baby sister, Saint has refused to allow what would seem like dark clouds to overshadow his dreams and instead found the inspiration to push through in hopes of becoming a positive pillar of the community. Creatively Lennell came up with the oxymoron that combined the ideas of how society measures success with lessons he learned growing up in a life of gang activity and a "by any means necessary" mentality, thus bringing to life "Saint 'The Good Boy.'" Saint, as he is called by those that know him, is no stranger to innovation and ingenuity. It was at age 8 that Saint knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life as he "fed" his hunger for playing with and rhyming words which gained him the affections of his female classmates and promoted his talents. By the time Saint graduated high school he had released 15 cd's. This included mixtapes, collaboration compliations, and sound tracks for 3 short films he produced, directed, and edited. For two years in a row, Saint's movies entitled "Scream at Me," "The Last Stain," and "Wake Me Up Later" were awarded National Student Emmys and 3 Regional Emmys. In 2008, still reaching for the stars, Saint signed with Chicago based music label Blaq Box Entertainment as a rcording artist. Within a year Saint was promoted to President of Artist Development. But the buck doesn't stop there for this talented "Good Boy" whose also a full time student at Columbia College in Chicago where he majors in Entertainment Arts Media Management with a focus on Music Business and is expected to graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts degree.
