STATIC

Jonathan "STATIC" Burks was born June 17th 1995 in Decatur, GA in Dekalb Medical Center. He began song writing at the age of 7 and rapping at the age of 12. At the age of 13 he became a co-founder of a Brooklyn rap group aptly named N.Y.G. or New York's Greatest. No records were ever produced or released by the group and they eventually dismembered. STATIC than embarked on the route of a solo artist writing many songs yet unable to get into the studio to record any of them. Then he lost his first, beloved rapbook and struggled to find his rhythm of rhyme again. STATIC soon found a producer in a long-time friend of his named Deion. This duo as STATIC and PRIMETIME eventually formed "Slick Innovation", inspired by STATIC's father's rap name The Originator Jaz-O. "The Innovators" then released their first single "Rhymin's Like" which is a remake of Nas track "Nas is Like" produced by DJ Premiere. It can be found on facebook on STATIC's profile under Jonathan Allen Burks. Later on the group released their first mixtape entitled Common Sense: The Innovation Compilation. STATIC is now in the process of releasing his second mixtape, Venting to a Stranger, with the help of his engineer Jack Miller, PrimeTime, LA Beatz, General Beats, Ta'Sj Pure and his D.R.E.A.M. Team affiliates. It drops Oct. 4th, await the date. Peace.
