A passionate being, driven and governed by the power of love is SIR. Whose interest in music started at around the age of 6 or 7, when he used to play vinyl record on my mother's sound system alongside my brother in the 1980's. Listening to the melodious sounds of such persons as: Sam Cook, Jerry Butler, Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls and Jeffery Osbourn to name a few, as well as the conscious message of such persons as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Dennis Brown and few other Jamaican artistes. Such sensation and messages started to have an impact on his life from that time, in ways that not even he knew until recently.
As a teenage he was introduced to rap music by my older brother "David Alexander". His brother introduced him to the music of; Slick Rick, Sugar Hill Gang, Dougy Fresh, Father MC, Red Head King Pin, Kid & Play, Shine Head, Heavy D & Fresh Prince, not the now Will Smith lol. He became hooked on rap music from then on. He was so captivated by the beats and the flows that I started seeking for music and artistes that he liked more and felt more connected to. In the mid nineties he found himself gravitating to the music of 2 Pac and Naz who happens to be 2 of his main influences along with Bone Thugs & Harmony, DMX & Ludacris.
Around 1990, while in high school he started putting words to paper. His desire for creating music grew more as the years progress and in 2005 he wrote and recorded his first song entitled " FATHER" for produce Dwayne Campbell of C Sharp Band. He kept on writing but did not recorded another song until March of 2011 entitled "A Dose a Love" for Mc Dove Music which shortly after entered at #5 on a US radio chart and exited at #3 a few weeks thereafter.
The type of music done by SIR is said to be "melodious inspirational expression". He does not consider a rapper, singer, dee jay or even an artiste but more of an expressionist and a messenger or agent of LOVE.
