Chris Brown’s publicist has to be a millionaire. Just think about the amount of damage control this person has to perform, on top of managing an already-polarizing figure. Despite lengthy stints in anger management and continued, sometimes confusingly-rabid fan support (like this stuff), the enigmatic Brown continues to play the role of the antagonist, engaging in countless reckless feuds on the mega-public stages of nearly every social media platform available.

    Charts Don't Lie: July 4th
    Jul 4, 2015 at 08:45pm
The only true debut in this week's charts came from King Los' God Money War. While the pre-cursor to Los' upcoming official debut managed to move 7,357 units (8,331 with streams), it only came in at number 67. Another notable debut was Tyga's Gold Album, though it actually failed to crack the Billboard 200. Released on Spotify on a Tuesday and later as an iTunes Download on a Friday, T-Raww's new album had a near full-week of streams and a few days of purchases to accumulate under 5,000 sales.

With the iTunes store only opening in 2003, the digital music industry is still pretty young, but it's far from devoid of competition, commerce and platinum-selling artists. The most successful of these, it turns out, is none other than Rihanna.

Rihanna has generally been known to date fellow celebrities, but she usually keeps things pretty low-key, at least, as low-key as you can get when you're one of the biggest artists in the world. Of course, she's had an on-and-off relationship with Drake over the years, and most recently she's been linked to perpetual bachelor Leonardo Dicaprio, but her latest conquest comes from the world of sports.

For the better part of the past three years, "trap" has referred to much more than the music of Young Jeezy, T.I., Gucci Mane, etc. Beats like Baauer's "Harlem Shake" and RL Grime's remix to Kanye West's "Mercy" have ignited dance-floors and festivals using the same label to describe their sound.

    May 27, 2015 at 07:29pm
After his debut album, Live.Long.A$AP, ASAP Rocky went quiet for awhile-- music-wise, that is. In the interim between L.L.A. and A.L.L.A., Rocky rose atop the fashion world and romanced some very high-profile celebrities. He didn't forget the music, though, and A.L.L.A. is certainly his most ambitious project yet.

Since some old Makonnen tweets came out of the woodwork a couple months back, it hasn't been clear whether or not the Atlanta newcomer and Drake are on good terms.
