Rihanna Helped Puma Beat 4th Quarter Projections By $34.5 Million
Puma isn’t really considered a major player within the sneaker industry. People definitely wear Pumas, but they can’t touch Nike or Adidas in terms of cultural clout. However, they might be well on their way to changing that with a few well chosen celebrity associations.
Charts Don't Lie: February 17
The Billboard Chart saw a new number one this week in the form of Future, whose album EVOL is currently the top-selling album in the country. Apparently rolling it out on DJ Khaled's radio show wasn't such a bad idea, as the record has sold nearly 100k in its first week. Making way for Future's climb to the top is Rihanna, who slipped from #1 to #3 this week.

Tired of hearing about The Life Of Pablo yet? Kanye West's highly anticipated album only dropped about 36 hours ago, but its eventual release was preceded by several days of frustrated waiting, as his haphazard release strategy continued (and may still be ongoing) with a series of remixing, tracklist updates, and delays. Annoying, yes, but you have to admit that the guy knows how to keep himself in the daily conversation for longer than nearly anyone in our era of short attention spans.
Future's "EVOL" hits #1 In Its First Week
Future hit the top of the charts again this week, as his album EVOL achieved a #1 ranking on the Billboard charts after releasing last Friday. The Atlanta rapper beat out juggernauts like Adele, Coldplay and Rihanna for the top spot. The Billboard 200 Chart shifted considerably over the past week, leaving artists like Tank in the dust as the likes of Rihanna and Kevin Gates rose to take the #1 and #2 positions, respectively. Rihanna's album, which debuted at #27 last week, claimed the #1 position we all expected it to have. The reasoning for the weak debut was on a technicality, but now that the album is properly available, it moved nearly 125,000 units.

Constant new music from the game's biggest stars has become the norm. And while it's almost too much to digest, we're not complaining. This week's Top Tracks is dominated by Future, Drake, and Rihanna, and it's likely those names aren't going anywhere -- Future, especially, who's already dropped two projects this year, adding to the four he put out in 2015. And don't let me forget about Meek. Drizzy stans aren't gonna let him live any time soon, though most everything he's dropped this year has cracked the Top 10. He's finally using all the controversy to his advantage.
