Truth be told, no artist will ever bring you as close to his heart as Montreal MC Rico Blox. Blending rugged hip-hop with soul and melodies, Blox produces honest and insightful music reflective of his life, past and present. What began as a way to channel grief spawned from the loss of his father became more than a therapeutic outlet for this rising MC, it became a lifestyle. Blox officially surfaced on the Montreal music scene in 2003 with the release of his first mixtape Audiocrack which he followed up with The Truth in the Booth. This opened doors for Blox who was invited to perform at a variety of shows and events, notably the NSC Sport Compact Show at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, Red Lite Afterhours and many other Montreal venues Always on the move, Blox shares his time between his solo career and his passion for song writing. He also collaborates with other Montreal artists (J-Seven, Malicious, Nino Malo, M.O. , R-Kade and others), has records spun on local radio and a song featured on DJ Kleancut’s Premiere Offense.
