Who Had The Better Verse: Wale Vs. Meek Mill
Rick Ross changed the landscape of rap when he forged his indomitable empire Maybach Music Group. His new signees, Wale and Meek Mill, were unproven commodities who simply needed a chance to thrive and eclipse expectations. Under Ross' tutelage, both artists have sculpted strong careers and have expanded their fanbases exponentially. Wale’s poetic ambiance fused with Meek’s rugged and street demeanor is what makes MMG go. When they’re both on a track, you’re almost guaranteed nothing but energy and fiery bars.
50 Cent Sues Rick Ross For Allegedly Leaking His Own Baby Mama's Sex Tape
Back in March, we learned that 50 Cent was being taken to court by Lastonia Leviston (who has a child with Rick Ross) for allegedly leaking out her sex tape. Now, Fif's claiming that Rozay himself was behind the leak, and to deflect the blame, is suing the MMG bawse.

Rick Ross Facing Lawsuit For Using Old Jay Z Photo In "Movin' Bass" Video
It looks like Rick Ross is facing another lawsuit from hip-hop photographer Armen Djerrahian. If you remember last year (in May to be exact), Rozay was sued by Armen for using photographs that he’d taken without his permission, and now apparently the same thing happened in Rozay’s latest music video.
TBT: Rick Ross' 2006-2010 Era
Over the years, Rick Ross has made his way from a Slip-n-Slide Records artist to an empirical kingpin. How did he do it? Well, there's a lot of moves you could attribute to his success, but basically, he did it by putting out good music. His first two records paved the way for the Maybach Music Group's beginnings. MMG released Deeper Than Rap as its first official album, and Ross has been building an empire ever since, putting on MCs like Meek Mill, Wale, and Stalley to a huge audience.

Ranking Wale's 4 Albums From Worst To Best
For years, we have tried to decode the enigma that is Wale. Rather than being lauded for his gift of gab, he's been overshadowed by his shill cries for acceptance. You see, Wale always had the skills to be a special artist in hip-hop. Nobody questioned his motor in the booth. Nobody questioned his scintillating wordplay. We just wanted him to make the best music that we thought he was capable of making. After being slapped with criticism by the hands of social media, he finally learned how to hit the mute button and focus on building himself up as an artist.
"The Mixtape About Nothing" Vs. "More About Nothing" Vs. "The Album About Nothing"
Wale's Projects About Nothing demonstrated his love for Seinfeld mixed in with a healthy dose of alternative hip hop. The Mixtape About Nothing kicked off the love affair with 19 tracks, mostly containing Best Kept Secret production, but the tape also had some music from The Roots, J Dilla, Lil Wayne, and The Budos Band for healthy measure.
Meek Mill & Rick Ross On The Cover Of XXL
Despite many delays, the hype for Meek mill's sophomore album is at an all-time high. Between his return from jail, his relationship with Nicki Minaj, and a run of strong singles, the rapper has a lot of attention these days, and he won't be letting it go to waste.
Who Had The Better Verse: J. Cole Vs. Wale
Rap is the most competitive genre in music. For decades, artists reveled in competition because they wanted to prove that they were elite. Whenever a rapper elected to feature his or her peer on a track, both sides were trying to out-duel the other, simply for competitive reasons. Artists knew that for years to come, fans would debate about who outperformed who. That’s why when Kendrick Lamar delivered his “Control” verse, fans applauded his voracious stab at the industry. That’s why we love rap.

Samples Of The Week: March 12
After a week where Kanye West, Wale and Ludacris dropped off new tracks, we had fewer top-tier artists releasing material this week. Instead, some fan favorites returned from dry spells to bless us with new material, all of which was pretty dope. In this edition of Samples Of The Week, we look at flips by Freddie Gibbs, Flatbush Zombies and Curren$y. As always, some of these are very unexpected, some are obscure, and all are expertly executed. Read on to get the scoop.
Rick Ross Kicked It With Bill Murray This Weekend
If you've ever questioned Rick Ross's "bawse" status, then check out these pics of the MMG boss with none other than Bill Murray, one of America's most treasured comedic icons. Both men happened to attend the Rhode Island vs La Salle NCAA basketball game, which took place in Philly on Saturday night. Murray's son is the assistant coach of the Rhode Island team, and Rozay is just a fan of some good college hoops.
