Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas
Boosie is thankful. This time last year, he was preparing for surgery to remove a cancerous growth in his kidney. The surgery was a success, and Boosie has gone on to release more projects in 2016 than anyone not named Mozzy or Curren$y.
A couple of hard ATL mixtapes have touched down in time for the weekend. Last night it was Que with The DogFather, and now a new tape from The Real University's own Skooly has arrived.
It's becoming an increasingly popular trend for producers to drop mixtapes, both as a means of providing a recap of their recent work as well as a few new exclusives. Atlanta-via-Virginia producer Yung Lan has just dropped off his new mixtape, entitled The Arrival, and its tracklist shows just how huge of a run he's had over the past couple of years, dropping tracks with Rich Homie Quan, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates, French Montana, and many more. Many of Lan's most successful collabs have come with Fetty Wap, who is the official host of The Arrival.
Project E.T. (Esco Terrestrial) (Hosted By Future)
Future's exuberant right-hand man DJ Esco is best-known for his residency at Magic City and for inspiring the seminal mixtape 56 Nights. Anyone who watches Esco's vlog knows that he is truly The Coolest DJ In The World.
It's fitting that Rocko's new mixtape, Wordplay 2, touched down around the same time as Gucci's surprise return, as Wop has always been one of Rocko's strongest supporters and vice versa. Before he has time to catch up on all the sounds that he's missed over the past three years, Gucci will have no trouble turning up to Wordplay 2, the sequel to the fan-favorite tape Rocko released in late 2012.
I Am Juugman
Yung Ralph has been buzzing on the Atlanta scene ever since he dropped "Look Like Money" 2007. The frequent Gucci Mane and Zaytoven collaborator has had one of the best years of his career in 2015, appearing on Young Thug's Slime Season and now dropping his long awaited mixtape I Am Juugman. Laced with 20 tracks, the mixtape features the likes of Fetty Wap, Young Thug, London on Da Track, Zayotven, Birdman, Jacquees, and more.
Rich Homie Quan
Well this is a surprise. Rich Homie Quan has just dropped a new mixtape, titled ABTA, which stands for "album before the album". This is good news for two reasons -- the first, obviously, being that we have 13 brand new Quan tracks to jam to, and secondly, that his debut album seems to be on the way.
Care Package 3
Though he's dropped a couple of hot singles, we haven't gotten an album from Omarion this year. Luckily, he's come through today with a new mixtape, Care Package 3, which should amplify the hype for his next album, Reasons.
Slime Season 2
Thug promised two projects tonight: Migos Thuggin and Slime Season 2, the follow-up to his eclectic 18-track effort from September that featured several collaborations with his go-to producer London on da Track -- as well as beats from Metro Boomin, Southside, Wheezy, Goose, and more of Atlanta's leading youngsters. No sign of Migos Thuggin just yet, but SS2 is here, and it's about all we can handle.
DTSpacely Made This
Rich Homie Quan
Well here’s a nice little surprise for Rich Homie Quan fans. Out of nowhere (kinda), the ATL rapper decides to drop off a new mixtape with his in-house producer fittingly titled DTSpacely Made This.
Lil Donald aka Lil Don Loyal got his name out earlier this year with his breakout hit, "Juice." He's since linked up with the Freebandz gang, which is run, of course, by Mr. Future Hendrix. He's now released a new mixtape via Freebandz, Freeband Loyal, which, for a debut tape, features an huge lineup of features and producers.

Tha Tour Part 1
Released back in May, the track "Lifestyle" by Birdman, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug took a while to catch fire, but when it did, it rocketed up the charts. Since debuting on Billboard's Hip-Hop/R&B chart seven weeks ago, the track has peaked at number seven and spent seven weeks on the chart.
Da New Kool
Fat Trel's seen a rise in popularity since signing to Maybach Music Group last Fall, and now he's put his crew on. Slutty Boyz have shared their new tape, Da New Kool, and it's packed with features from Trel, Migos, Wale, Rich Homie Quan, Juicy J, Young Thug, Chinx and many more. Production comes from Young Chop, Honorable C Note and others.
Turk was locked up for close to 9 years, and unfortunately missed out on recording a lot of music, but he's more than making up for it since his release, putting out two mixtapes last year, Blame It On The System and Louisianimalz Vol. 1.
