Inspired by Nas, Jay-Z, Tupac, Raekwon and numerous artists, RAY BOP is an amazing lyricist who wishes to bring his talent into todays era of the Hip Hop game. Born in Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, growing up as an only child, Ray Bop's only role model (Ronny), got him to develop the love of music. He first fell in love with Hip Hop after listening to several classic albums such as Nas's ILLMATIC, and Jay-Z's REASONABLE DOUBT, and also one of his favorite albums in his earlier childhood Jay-Z's LIFE N TIMES OF S.CARTER. He then began composing music at the age of 13. Writing music was more like a hobby at the time, but that changed as he got older. Ray Bop continued writing music while he attended Bronx High School for the Visual Arts through the years then stopped after a while. But as his love for music grew, his urge for wanting to make music grew also. By the age of 18 he started writing down his real thoughts down every day, which would later become the motivation behind his future recordings. After showcasing his talent to family and friends, he decided to persue music as a career. His first song ever recorded, AWARENESS, got him the feedback he needed to build his confidence. He believes he developed his skills as an artist by learning from his influences. Focused and determined, Ray Bop later on Performed for the first time at a Talent Show down in CT with an old highschool friend (Patrick). Without much help to record, after meeting up with an old friend (Elliott) from high school, he explained to him the vision he once had when he chose to persue music. Ready to take the next step, by using money from a summer job, he and his friend began buying the materials needed to beging recording along with an other friend (Benjamin) who also supported him. Soon he went from drawing on a paper to later establishing a draw of inspiration to chase his dream. With a few tracks under his belt, he decided to drop a mixtape ready to show everyone what he can do. After dropping his first Mixtape, THE ILLUSTRATION, (which is available for download at Hotnewhiphop.com) he attained more attention from his peers. Searching for more opportunites to gain more recognition, he hooked up with ThaFamous Mo- Money Mixtape King through Twitter. For a chance to appear on his first unsigned hype mixtape, Ray's "4am In New York" track made the cut. Make You Famous Vol. 1 Hosted by Dame Grease was release Oct. 5, 2010 on blogs and sites such as SoulPitchStreetWire.com and DatPiff.com. Ray Bop is currently still working on developing his skills and making new music. Still trying to prove himself, Ray Bop's main goal is to keep going in and keep grinding.
