No Tomorrow
No Tomorrow
Pries
HOTTTTT
Pries has never been one to limit himself stylistically. Combing through his back catalog, you'll find elements of uncompromising lyric-driven rap, R&B-inflected bedroom jams, and everything in between. His latest record "No Tomorrow" finds him once again expanding his sonic palette, taking on bright synth tones that nod towards EDM without compromising the simple, effective vocal melodies at its center.

HOTTTTT
Pries doesn't get a ton of attention outside of his native Denver, but he is well-liked by the HNHH readership. And rightly so. The dude regularly cranks out quality tracks across a range of styles, from bouncy Bay bangers to the brooding Canadian mode pioneered by Drake to straight up R&B. With his On the Bright Side project "coming soon," Pries deemed today the right time to liberate his new track "Clap." It couches self-motivation in an upbeat, no-frills dance floor beat. Maybe this'll be the one that puts him over the top.

Denver rapper/singer Pries is back with a new single, "Leave You Alone," his first new release since January's two-track bundle, "Want You" and "Act Like You Know." "Leave You Alone" is a late-night R&B-leaning cut, with an OVO-style blend of singing and rapping.

Earlier this week, we gave you Pries' impressive new track, "Want To," which he dropped after fans showed their support on Twitter. Along with that record, the rapper also shared "Act Like You Know," yet another big cut. The track is built off of a soulful vocal sample, bolstered by some hard drums, and some even harder rapping. Joining Pries is Rob4Real, who compliments the rapper well, as the two challenge one another with their energetic 16s.

Pries

Today Pries offered fans two new songs for the price of a mere 100 retweets. Naturally, his followers obliged, and the consistent rapper has now shared "Want To," another impressive addition to his constantly growing catalog. The song is built off of an organ loop brought in by producer Jayze, who opts for an unpredictable, but incredibly hard bassline that bypasses the overused sub-bass patterns we're used to hearing these days.
I Need That
I Need That
Pries Feat. Darian Holmes

Pries is currently gearing up to release the third installment of his No Glue series on September 5th, and having already shared a couple of cuts from it ("Dream About Ya" and "LA LA LA"), as well as an outtake ("Tattoos"), he's droppi

LA LA LA
Pries
HOTTTTT
Pries has a new tape called No Glue 3 on its way, and after sharing a few new records to get us warmed up, he's come through with the first official release from the project. "LA LA LA" is definitely a strong showing from the rapper, who's generally pretty consistent as it is. The TroyBoi instrumental features a mash of sampled vocals, an infectiously bouncy groove, as well as some R&B backing vocals, which come together to make something pretty special.

On September 5th, Pries will be dropping off his second mixtape of the year (the first being February's American Fairytale), No Glue 3. Before that, though, he's decided to liberate a track that didn't make the cut for the project. Here's "Tattoos," which was produced by Cheta.

Pries' No Glue 2 dropped way back in 2012, but he's looking to revive the series this year, sharing a new record from the upcoming No Glue 3 today. Never being shy to try out new styles, Pries demonstrates his versatility once again on "Dream About Ya," which showcases his earworm-y hooks and charismatic personality, making for a good summer jam.
U Make Me
U Make Me
Pries Feat. Jimmie Murphy
HOTTTTT
Inspired by '90s hip hop & R&B, Pries releases his new radio single "U Make Me" just in time for summer. Props must be given to Pries and crooner Jimmie Murphy for putting in serious work on this Mustard-esque beat in a time when Mustard-style production is starting to grow a bit stale.  "U Make Me" will likely appear on Pries' upcoming tape No Glue 3. The Denver rapper dropped the formidable No Glue 2 back in 2012. "U Make Me" officially has us pumped for NG3.
Kiss Me
Kiss Me
Pries Feat. Doobie Newton
HOTTTTT
Pries is a difficult artist to pin down. The Denver rapper is always experimenting with new sounds, perfecting the art of the R&B-inflected slow jam, the strip club record, and the street anthem. His latest, "Kiss Me," finds him further proving his songwriting abilities, crafting hooks just about everywhere he can fit them. It falls within the same sugary territory as "Trap Queen," which we've seen has a pretty wide reach.
Last Forever
Last Forever
Pries
HOTTTTT
Pries is celebrating his birthday today, so why not share some new music to bring in the occasion. We already heard the introspective "Stick Up," which covered the sentimental aspect of birthdays, so it's only right that he give us a more upbeat offering with "Last Forever." This one brings forth the triumphant mindset that comes with celebrating your own existence, with the rapper declaring that he wants it all-- including money, power, respect, and luxury for all his friends and family.

Pries is as versatile as he is consistent. You can never be sure what style he might hit you with, but chances are, it'll be something interesting. We've heard him do twerk anthems, street bangers, and more melodically-inclined crossover records. His latest, "Stick Up," is built off of a swirling, reverse sample, recalling some of 40's more ambitious flips. Dropping the record on his birthday today, "Stick Up" feels like a reflection on years passed, coming together with a sweet RnB hook.

After releasing his American Fairytale mixtape in February, Pries is back with a new drop, "That's Whats Up".  His latest finds Pries in his romantic element, admiring his independent queen--from a distance--while Pries stays busy in his own lane.

Pries Feat. Emilio Rojas

On Sunday, Pries will be releasing his (possibly L. Frank Baum-inspired?) mixtape American Fairytale, and after hitting us with "Waves" and "Fuck You And Your Bitch" back in December, is ready to give us one last leak from the project.

We last heard from Pries earlier this month when he dropped "Waves" a record which will be featured on his upcoming album, American Fairy Tale. Today we get an aggressive new cut which may also make the upcoming full length, titled "Fuck You And Your Bitch".

Pries
HOTTTTT
Pries lays it all out our for us on his latest record, "Waves." The rapper speaks directly to the fans about what's going on his mind, from police brutality and the fear that comes with that, to his relationship with his wife falling apart because of infidelities. It may not be the most uplifting record, but it is definitely honest. Nonetheless Pries says he dropped the cut to celebrate landing on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart (again). Are you feeling it?

Pries Feat. Abstrakt
EXCLUSIVE
Pries gave us the varied 24-track project After The Forest Fire in September, and so far it's been given nothing but glowing reception. Meanwhile, the subdued twerk anthem "Shake" has continued to gain momentum, landing Pries on Billboard's emerging artists chart just recently.
Waiting To Exhale
Waiting To Exhale

EXCLUSIVE
After giving us the uber hard "Rabbit", Pries proves the versatility of his upcoming After The Forest Fire with the relatively mellow, "Waiting To Exhale". While the song could've easily cruised by on it's nostalgic sample, it's loaded with production tricks that make it truly something special, with a sliding mechanical bassline taking center stage.

EXCLUSIVE
Pries will be unleashing his free album, After The Forest Fire, later today, but first he's releasing a couple of leaks from the record. The first of which is "Rabbit", which is built off of a hard trap-like instrumental, in which Pries flexes his lyrical ability with some big boasts, and winding flows.
