Pharrell Premieres Unreleased N.E.R.D. Track On His Beats 1 Radio Show
Pharrell's solo career is going rather well, but he hasn't forget about his N.E.R.D. days yet, as he aired an unreleased N.E.R.D. track called "Locked Away" during tonight's episode of his "OTHERtone" Beats 1 Radio show. “Locked Away" features a funky bass line and swinging drums on the verse before bursting into breezy guitar and synths on the hook. It's pretty surprising it took this long for the track to see the light of day.

The Streaming "Game Of Thrones": Drake & Apple Music Vs. Jay-Z & TIDAL
It all seemed like fantastic, luxurious, one-percent-y fun and games during the initial TIDAL press conference. Music mogul Sean “Jay-Z” Carter’s launched his rebranding of the year-old streaming service he had recently acquired by strutting out stars of meteoric magnitude, both young and old, shuffled out like battling champions in a proverbial game of thrones. Like a "Song of Ice and Fire," the words burned like an effigy as the music industry (critics, artists, and fans alike) were urged to brace themselves for something new.

Pharrell Previews New Song, "Freedom," Ahead Of Apple Music Debut
The streaming war awaits us. As we already know, Pharrell is involved with the new move, signing on as one of a few celebrity Beats music radio DJs. However, he'll also be releasing music through the service, previewing a new record called "Freedom" today, which will be available through the platform on its launch date of June 30th.

This has all truned out to be true, as Zane Lowe (who made his way from BBC1, and will also host his own show) has revealed that Drake, Pharrell, Dr. Dre, Elton John, Disclosure and the one and only Jaden Smith will all have their own programs through Beats 1 Radio.

Review: Snoop Dogg's "Bush"
Seriously, is there a more versatile rap star than Snoop Dogg? Name another rapper who has done full albums of reggae, funk and rap over the last 5 years alone. Or an MC who’s released music on Death Row, No Limit, Star Trak, Mad Decent, and Stones Throw. Or one who’s released albums with Wiz Khalifa, toured with Korn, and acted alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
Snoop Dogg's Funkiest Moments
With the release of his newest album Bush this past week, Snoop Dogg dived into the funk world alongside producer Pharrell, but funk is hardly a new look for the California MC. Along with help from OGs like Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson and MCs like Kendrick Lamar, T.I. and Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg was able to deliver 40 minutes of straight funk, which happens to be the music that influenced his entire career.
