As we enter album release week for Paul Wall, the Houston vet has dropped a new video to a new track off The Houston Oiler, which drops on Friday (Oct. 21). After watching the video, the song's title, "Han Solo on 4s," proves to be a remarkably fitting new nickname for the Slab God. In the new video, viewers join Paul Wall in his beautifully polished candy red slab for a kaleidoscopic trip through the city. It doesn't get much more Houston than this.

At the end of last month, Slim Thug dropped his third album of the year, completing the "Hogg Life" trilogy with Hustler of the Year. Right before the album's release, Thugga dropped "Drank," a lean-dedicated anthem featuring two fellow Houston legends and longtime drank connoisseurs, Z-Ro and Paul Wall.

Houston has produced some of the best rappers in the history of the genre. Z-Ro, Bun B, and Scarface are just a few of the old heads still holding it down for H-Town, but the city's rap scene has been riding a new wave recently and, in Paul Wall's opinion, has  "never been healthier." "There's a fan base to support all the different branches of the hip hop tree that have been growing out of Houston," Wall proudly explained, "whereas in the past, it might just be the typical Houston sound of music."

When it comes to our "This or That" segment, it's not just what they say -- it's how they say it. With Paul Wall's bodacious, bubbly personality, you already know his ToT is going to be a good one. We asked Mr. Wall to make a variety of choices between two options: Clint Eastwood vs. Chuck Norris, Tex Mex vs. Creole, liquor vs. weed (vs. lean), and the like.

Paul Wall is currently at the height of powers. He's come a long way since "Still Tippin,'" but he is still true to his roots, and that's what his new album Slab God is all about. We recently sat down with Paul to talk the album, a funk/soul-inspired, trap-induced ode to the car known in Texas as a slab. He explained that a car must pass a series of qualifications before it can be considered Slow Low And Bangin. Music is integral to the slab experience, and he wanted to make some music you could knock in the slab. Ridin' music!!

Paul Wall adopts the children's song "Singing in the Room" to create the H-Town-approved version, "Swangin in the Rain." The record appeared on his recent album, Slab God, which he returns today for the visual treatment of "Swangin in the Rain." How else would Paul Wall shoot this visual, if not in the rain with a few clean vehicles? The slow-moving, soulful records receives a slow-moving video too. Watch it above.

Last month, Paul Wall appeared alongside his Mo City comrade Slim Thug in Young Dolph's "Down South Hustlers" video, and today, Dolph returns the favor. The Memphis native guests in The People's Champ's new video for "Don't Spill It."

Although Young Dolph hails from Memphis, he's got plenty of connects in the other main hubs for Southern rap: Atlanta and Houston. Stylistically, he usually skews closer to the former, often enlisting ATL producers like the 808 Mafia collective and Zaytoven for his tapes, but today, he goes down to Mo City to link with a pair of legends. "Down South Hustlers" reunites Slim Thug and Paul Wall, who've linked up for joint tapes in the past and connected on RiFF RAFF's "How TO Be The Man" remix last year.

Clad from head to toe in Actavis-repping clothing, double-cupping and spelling out his initials with blunts, Paul Wall is truly out here in his new video. The visuals were concocted for the title track of his most recent album, Po Up Poet.

Paul Wall dropped a few gems in this recent interview with fellow emcee Devin The Dude's online talk show. Perhaps none were more interesting, however, than the announcement of a new group Wall has formed with fellow Texas emcee Baby Bash (of "Baby, I'm Back" and "Suga Suga" fame) and Los Angeles producer Scoop DeVille. Referred to as "The Legalizers," the trio are reportedly already in the studio prepping some new releases.  Other topics discussed on the show include Wall's stage name and his upcoming solo releases.

Its been a few months since we last caught some new material from the Ice Man Paul Wall. In fact, it was back on April 30th that we caught the visual for his “FAF” record. Today, Paul Wall decides to change all that and revisit his Check Season project to share with us the official video for “That Check” featuring Stunna Bam.

Paul Wall has a pretty good side hustle as a grill-maker, but he's still pumping out music as fast as ever. The Houston rapper most recently gave us a freestyle over Que's "OG Bobby Johnson" with his frequent collaborator, Slim Thug. Wall also released his #CheckSeason album at the end of last year, and today he shares a new visual from the offering. Solo cut, "FAF" (which stands for "Fresh As Fuck") now gets the video treatment, which has some animated elements, as well as footage from a car festival in his hometown.

Paul Wall has been dropping new material pretty consistently these days. He and Slim Thug have had a whole lot of collaborations over the years, and Wall's new track is yet another addition to that canon. Here, he also links up with D-Boss, who it seems may be joining him on a joint project in the near future.  The clip finds the three rappers in a warehouse with a bunch of siren-blazing ambulances, and if that's not ballin' we're not sure what is.
