Ms. Lauryn Hill has released an updated version of her old single “Rebel/I Find It Hard To Say" exclusively on TIDAL. The single originally appeared on her 2002 MTV Unplugged 2.0 album as a tribute to Amadou Diallo, a black victim of police brutality who has been canonized in several protest songs. The new version of the song reflects the current racial climate in the United States. "Old tune, new Version, same context, even more relevant now," Hill explained on Twitter. "Sick and tired of being sick and tired."

Nina Revisited...A Tribute to Nina Simone is coming in only a few weeks, and after hearing Lauryn Hill's cover of Nina's iconic "Feeling Good" performance, Hill has shared yet another contribution to the soundtrack, this one being something of a remix to Simone's "I've Got Life". While technically a preview, we get a pretty good idea of the record over the course of the 2:30 snippet. We're given more of the urgent rapping we heard on Hill's "Neurotic Society" last year, which surprisingly sounds right at home on a reworked version of the instrumental.

Back in 2012, Lauryn Hill was on the "Life Is Good" tour and decided to debut a track called “Black Rage”, which we never heard of again. Well after the recent incidents in Ferguson Missouri, Lauryn figured today was an appropriate time to revisit that record and release a “sketch” version of it, which she says was recorded in her living room.
