On Friday night, Lauryn Hill was two hours late to a show in Atlanta, and she ended up performing for about 30 minutes before her set was cut off in accordance with the venue's 11pm curfew. Much of the crowd booed after her abrupt performance, and footage surfaced of Hill involved in an intense verbal altercation with one upset fan.

Earlier today, news surfaced that The Weeknd was set to perform alongside Ms. Lauryn Hill at tonight’s Grammy Awards. Well it turns out, that won't be the case anymore unfortunately. In a statement made from Lauryn Hill’s camp, Lauryn was allegedly booked prematurely and wasn't necessarily even set to to perform in the first place. Here’s what the entire statement read,

Lauryn Hill has been known to take her time getting to the stage, but her show in Atlanta, Georgia last night took her tardiness to the extreme. Scheduled to hit the stage at 8, Lauryn managed to infuriate even the fans who expected a delay when she only showed up around 10:30, performing for about a half an hour before her mic was promptly cut off at 11 to comply with noise curfews in the city. According to Reporter Jewel Wicker, Hill claimed that her driver's lack of proper directions was responsible for her lateness.

The fans showed up for Miseducation and instead the were educated. That's the story of the recent Lauryn Hill concert portrayed in the video below. Beginning her 10:30pm set at 11:20pm, Hill was quickly called out by a disappointed fan and proceeded to lecture said attendee on respect. "If a little patience is too much, it's alright, you can go," said the former Fugee before having the fan removed by security.

Lauryn Hill is in the midst of a North American tour called the "MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling!" The original tour press release promised that artists from "throughout the African diaspora" would be included on the bill. It has now been announced that Nas, Kehlani, Little Simz, and Noname will be joining Hill at select tour stops. Nas is slated to play at just two dates, San Francisco and Seattle.
