Although they haven't rapped on a track with each other since 2009's "Forever," Drake and Kanye West are usually placed side-by-side in the upper echelon of hip hop's current stars, the ones who have the potential to "break the internet" when they drop surprise material.

This week has proved to be pretty eventful when it comes to song releases. There was actually a lot to choose from when it came time to compile our weekly Staff Picks playlist, and we're expecting the commenters to call us out on any and all oversights. There were Drake leaks. There was a Weeknd remix of Bryson Tiller. There was a G-Eazy remix. There was a 50 Cent remix. There was a Lil Wayne remix. There was a Wavy Wednesday cut. There was a Lupe Fiasco freestyle. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

The tweet in question was "Blacc females are a disgrace to blacc culture," to which Nipsey replied with "I can't retweet that but LMAO TRU shit."Regardless of the lack of retweet (and its subsequent deletion), Nip was called out for his denouncement of black women. Since the conversation opened, the rapper has explained that the tweet he replied to was a joke, though in bad taste, and that he takes responsibility for his actions.

In an interview with DJ Whoo Kidd, Snoop revealed that he actually had someone in mind for the role. “I would've preferred Nipsey Hussle for the look," said Snoop, revealing that while the actor who plays him did a great job, he doesn't have the same uncanny resemblance as the Crenshaw rapper. "But Nipsey wanted to do his own thing, which I respect.”
