Charts Don't Lie: May 30
It was another less-than-stellar week on the Billboard 200, at least for rap releases. Jamie Foxx managed to sneak into the top ten with his new LP, Hollywood: A Story of A Dozen, but for the most part we saw the big releases continuing their slow descent into top 30-40 territory. Slowly but surely, Drake and J. Cole are still in a tight race toward platinum status, with IYRTITL just barely edging out 2014FHD.
Nicki Minaj "Demands" Orgasms, Advises Women To Do The Same
We've seen Nicki Minaj stand up for her right to be seen as a rapper before a "female rapper," and now she's standing up for her right to equality in the bedroom as well. In an interview with Cosmo magazine, Nicki expressed her opinion that all women should expect their partner to give them orgasms, and should never settle for less.
Petition Asks Billboard To Retract Iggy Azalea's "Top Rap Song" Award
It's difficult to argue that Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" was anything but the biggest rap song of 2014 (unless you're arguing that it's not a "rap" song to begin with, but that's a whole other story). The record sat atop the Billboard Hot 100 all summer, and sold more than any other song in the genre. It was then, unsurprising that Iggy and Charli's duet came out on top at the Billboard awards a few weeks back, but a new petition suggests that it should have been disqualified on a technicality.
Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj Aren't Actually Engaged
Ever since Nicki Minaj posted a picture of a huge, heart-shaped rock for the whole world to see, rumors of an engagement to Meek Mill have been passed around with little in the way of actual confirmation from either camps. Today, we get a straight-up answer from Meek in his new Fader cover story: they're not actually engaged.
Nicki Minaj Releases "The Night Is Still Young" Video Exclusively On TIDAL
Last week (May 18), Nicki Minaj and Beyonce dropped off the visual to "Feeling Myself," which is already being touted as one of the video's of the year. Due to its TIDAL-exclusivity, though, many of us haven't been lucky enough to see Nicki & Bey in all their glory, save for a few highly compelling snippets and screenshots. While we wait for "Feeling Myself" to break away from TIDAL onto less-High Fidelity (free) streaming services, Nicki has come out with another TIDAL-only vid, "The Night Is Still Young," making subscription that much more tantalizing.
Nicki Minaj Says Jay Z Collaboration Is Dropping Soon
When asked about a rumored collaboration with Jay Z on Twitter today, Nicki Minaj answered up front, but deleted her tweet shortly thereafter. Without giving out too much info, Minaj confirmed that the record would be dropping "in 3 days".
Nicki Minaj & Beyonce's "Feeling Myself" Video Is Available Exclusively On TIDAL
As many of you are still on the fence about TIDAL, what better way to lure you in than with a screenshot of two of the hottest women in the world side-by-side in a kiddie pool. After the jump, unfortunately, you'll need to roll out the credit card details to see Nicki and Bey in action.

Watch All The Performances From The 2015 Billboard Music Awards
The 2015 Billboard Music Awards just wrapped up at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While it wasn’t as eventful as Miguel’s infamous leg drop, it sure was a special night for performances as some of industry's biggest names took the stage.
Nicki Minaj Previews "The Night Is Still Young" Video
The single rollout for Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint have been a bit strange so far. When the album hit stores, "Truffle Butter" and "Feelin' Myself" proved themselves to be hot sellers, but instead, "Only" was pushed, getting the video treatment "Truffle Butter" never received, despite the latter's continued presence on charts and radio.
Kanye West, Nicki Minaj & Wiz Khalifa To Perform At Billboard Music Awards 2015
The Billboard Music awards aren't quite the VMAs when it comes to spectacle, but following Miguel's now infamous leg drop stunt, they're pretty damn close. This year, they've definitely booked the right performers to create some spontaneous moments, namely, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.
Charts Don't Lie: May 9
This wasn't a very exciting week for rap on the charts. Over the last couple cycles we've seen the same albums slowly descending, with Drake being the only record to have a second wind in recent weeks. We did see Kehlani's debut this week, taking a page from Drizzy and Young Thug's playbook and putting her "mixtape" on iTunes. She comes in at 36, but we're hoping to see the project gradually make its way up the charts as her hype continues to grow. Her new deal with Atlantic should ensure a push.
Nicki Minaj Will Join Ice Cube & Eve In "Barbershop 3"
The Barbershop series is a beloved franchise, and had it not had a minor misstep with spin-off, Beauty Shop, it probably would have spawned a few more sequels. Well, it's never too late to reignite a successful series, and Barbershop will be getting a proper third installment with much of the returning cast, including Ice Cube, Eve, and Cedric The Entertainer. Of course, if they're looking for new fans, they'll have to give things a more modern twist, and the addition of Nicki Minaj as a cast member should be a big draw for the younger crowd.
Lyrical Allegiance: Picking Pacquiao/Mayweather Sides Through Song
For the majority of a decade, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather have been busy cementing their legacies as boxers, all while manifesting a near mythic pop culture status - established largely in part to their potential matchup.
Charts Don't Lie: May 2nd
While Yelawolf managed a big debut this week, topping his previous album peak of 27 by hitting number 3 on the Billboard 200, rap lost a fair bit of ground. While Wale started off strong with a number one debut, he's fallen 10 or more spots every subsequent week, coming in this cycle at 31. Young Thug is also having a pretty rough time, failing to make the top 20 last week, and now falling to 44. Many of the other big albums stayed put for the most part, with Drake being the biggest gainer on account of the physical release of his "Mixtape".
The Best GIFs From The Jay Z Fan Video
We encountered what could very well be Jay Z's biggest fan during the filming of this week's Word On The Street episode. The lady, a lover of Biggie, Lil Kim and Hov, had choice words for Nicki Minaj ("she's a fake bitch, she's fake"). She also big upped Hilary Clinton ("Women is about to the run the world. Hilary is about to become president") and came close to tears when going off on ISIS.
Some Lucky Teen Got Nicki Minaj To Perform At His Bar Mitzvah
Nicki Minaj is at a point where no appearance comes cheap, so we can assume her recent performance at a kid's Bar Mitzvah in New York must have been fuelled by an offer she couldn't refuse.Matt, who technically should be 13 years old, but is already suspiciously taller than Nicki, was treated to a performance as well as some Instagram promotion on his big day. Of course, some footage from the event has made its way online, including a video in which Nicki attempts to guess his age, to which he replies with Drake-level innuendo -- "old enough".
10 Raunchiest Rap Music Videos Of All Time
In the world of rap, “raunchy music video” is almost always code for “ass-shaking fiesta.” Thus, when narrowing down this list from 30+ videos to 10, I was forced to take multiple criteria into consideration. Is the song any good? Was it popular?
Drake Brought Out Nicki Minaj At Coachella
Yesterday capped off the second weekend of Coachella, and after Saturday's Weeknd set brought us a Kanye West guest appearance, Drake marked Sunday with a surprise from his Young Money labelmate Nicki Minaj. Appearing during Drizzy's performance of "Truffle Butter," Minaj didn't rap at all, instead opting to strut around onstage for a bit before leaving.
