While the 2015 VMA's had its share of fireworks, it was quite the vanilla affair.

Hip-hop had a solid night, with Big Sean winning his first VMA, taking home Video With a Social Message with "One Man Can Change the World," and Fetty Wap earning the fan's vote for Artist to Watch. Nicki Minaj's Wax "Anaconda" Sculpture Gets Extra Security After Fans Take Inappropriate Photos
When Nicki Minaj got her very own wax sculpture at the iconic Madame Tussaud's wax museum, she seemed pretty happy about it, Instagramming several pictures of the "Anaconda" video-derived figurine. Azealia Banks, on the other hand, fumed about it. Taking issue with the fact that Minaj was portrayed "bent over on all fours" and not "standing up with a mic in her hand," Banks also predicted that people would pose inappropriately with the sculpture:

Things are said to have begun when Meek joined Minaj on stage, with security stepping in with the pepper spray during "The Night Is Still Young".
Meek Mill's Beef With Drake Is Hurting "Pinkprint Tour" Ticket Sales
Though he recently removed his diss track "Wanna Know" from Soundcloud, Meek Mill has been the instigator at just about every stage of his beef with Drake, with repeated jabs taken at Drizzy at various stops along the Pinkprint Tour.
Apparently Nicki Minaj Isn't Pregnant
On Saturday night, Nicki Minaj surprised the crowd attending her Pittsburgh "Pinkprint" tour stop by calling her tourmate (and boyfriend) Meek Mill her "baby father" onstage. She even quoted a tweet that contained footage of the exchange and didn't say whether or not she was messing with us.

Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, French Montana Named As Trespassers In Lawsuit Leveled Against Meek Mill
Meek Mill threw one hell of a Grammy party, but he's paying the price for it now. The rapper is facing a lawsuit for an event he hosted at a Beverly Hills rental property, which he allegedly put on even after the owners told him no more than 6 people could be on the premises at once. Some damage was done, but it seems as though Meek has not been cooperative, and thus, the owners are naming a bunch of the celebrity guests as "trespassers". Among those mentioned are Justin Bieber, Khloe Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and French Montana.

Meek Mill Booed In Toronto Last Night

The 10 Best Diss Tracks Of The 2010s
Of the many things that old heads will insist "were better back in the day," diss tracks are among the few that most younger rap fans can also agree upon. Even if you didn't live through them, the 2Pac / Biggie, Eazy-E / Dr. Dre and Jay Z / Nas beefs all produced shot-firing tracks that still loom large today-- Notorious' "Who Shot Ya" is still referenced by rappers all of the time, and Nas' "Ether" is now so baked into the foundation of rap that its title is now synonymous with a devastating diss.
Charts Don't Lie: July 25th
It was yet another unpredictable week on the charts, with Meek Mill being dethroned by none other than -- Tyrese? That's right, the veteran R&B star turnt Furious 7 actor has landed his very first number one with his sixth studio album. Meanwhile, Meek Mill keeps the units moving, sticking close at the number three spot. Drake comes in at 9, while the other rap albums were shut out of the top ten once again. As we already know, Future is set to top next week's charts, which will make for yet another consecutive week where a rap or R&B album reigns supreme.
Meek Mill Responds To Drake's "Charged Up" Diss Track
Drake's new track "Charged Up" can be viewed as his formal rebuttal to Meek Mill's Twitter tirade against him this week. Meek was not impressed. "Baby lotion soft," he tweeted. And then 25 minutes later, perhaps after another couple listens, he tweeted out, "I can tell he wrote that 1 one tho..." In terms of both lyrical insults and intensity of delivery, Drake did not go hard as, say, Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control."
140 Bars: Top Tweets Of The Week (July 18 - 24)
Holy beef. This week saw arguably more online clashes in the rap game than any other week in the past five years, with Nicki Minaj v. Taylor Swift, Meek Mill v. Drake, Boi-1da v. OG Maco, Ghostface Killah v. Action Bronson, and Bruno Mars v. Ed Sheeran (lol) all clashing. Those dominated the headlines and Twitter alike, so this week's edition of 140 Bars features some of the spillover. We only chose the funniest, weirdest and most thought-provoking though.
Nicki Minaj On Taylor Swift: "We're All Good"
Nicki Minaj made a big appearance on Good Morning America this morning, performing a pair of songs and sitting down for an interview to discuss the recently released VMAs Video of the Year noms, from which her "Anaconda" video was conspicuously absent, and her Twitter confrontation with Taylor Swift.
