    Charts Don't Lie: July 18

The final week of sales recorded from Tuesday happened last week, and this week's numbers are a weird transitional phase, tacking on a couple of days to bring them around to Friday, resulting in a one-time only 11-day tally. Thus, the results for this cycle are simply beefed up numbers from last week. For the most part, everyone pretty much stays in there place. Meek continued to add to his already impressive sum, while Miguel gave up his number 2 spot to Taylor Swift, putting him at 3.

After a few weeks of relative inactivity on the charts, this was a very exciting cycle for debuts. The biggest story, of course, is Meek Mill's miraculous 250k entry into the charts, giving him the 3rd biggest rap sales week this year (behind only Drake and Kendrick Lamar). Miguel pulled in at number two with his third studio album, WILDHEART, while Vince Staples made a more modest entry at 39. Outside of that, it was pretty much the same cast of characters shifting around in the top 50, with no one getting close to the top ten outside of the big debuts.

Vince Staples' debut album, Summertime '06, was definitely a strong piece of work from the Long Beach native, and received mostly rave reviews, including from us. However did that translate into sales for the young Def Jam signee?

Miguel is an R&B artist that not many will argue against. After bursting onto the music scene in 2010 with his debut single and album "All I Want Is You", Miguel has been a casually unstoppable force in music, with hits like "Sure Thing," "Adore," "Quickie," and features like "Lotus Flower Bomb" and "Good Lovin" keeping Miguel in the back of our minds and at the top of our playlists.

Miguel isn't the most prolific artist in R&B, but he's one of the most inimitable. As he's become an undeniable fashion icon and sex-symbol, he's still managed to evolve his sound with each subsequent record, sounding like the second-coming of Prince-- less dancey, but more sexy. He's an artist of his own breed, which is why we don't see him on features as much as most R&B artists, who get more hype off their guest appearances on rap albums than on their solo work.

Between producing for Kanye West, (arguably) founding the trap-rave genre with Lunice in TNGHT, and being signed to cutting-edge electronic label Warp, Scotland native Hudson Mohawke is a busy man. That's probably why it's taken him close to six years to release a follow-up to 2009's Butter. Next week, he'll drop his new album Lantern, and one week in advance, we get the opportunity to stream it, courtesy of iTunes Radio.

DeJ Loaf, Trey Songz, Ty Dolla $ign and Rick Ross – Post To Be (Remix) This re-working of Omarion’s hit was smart enough to keep its most famous, meme-spawning line.
