Million Dollar Plugs 2
Jose Guapo & Hoodrich Pablo Juan
It's been another productive year for Atlanta trappers Jose Guapo and Hoodrich Pablo Juan. Both have released mixtapes in the last three months: Jose's Osama Bin Guapo 2 and Juan's Master Sensei.
Free Bricks 2 (Zone 6)
Gucci Mane & Future
Last night, Gucci Mane and Future surprised fans with the release of a joint mixtape, Free Bricks 2 (Zone 6 Edition). The collaborative effort didn't receive any promotion beforehand, thus making the release all the more exciting for fans of either ATL rapper.
It has been safely assumed that Lil Bibby's follow up to last November's Free Crack 3 would be FC3: The Epilogue. Fans have been waiting on the project for nearly a year, and now Bibby finally rewards them -- with a surprise mixtape called Big Buckz.
The Perfect Luv Tape
Lil Uzi Vert
Though he only announced The Perfect Luv Tape earlier this month, Lil Uzi Vert didn't need too much promo for there to be immense anticipation surrounding his second tape of the year. With little warning, he released the 10-track project today, on his 22nd birthday.
Project E.T. (Esco Terrestrial) (Hosted By Future)
Future's exuberant right-hand man DJ Esco is best-known for his residency at Magic City and for inspiring the seminal mixtape 56 Nights. Anyone who watches Esco's vlog knows that he is truly The Coolest DJ In The World.
George Gervin: Ice Man Edition
Chicago's 600Breezy has been buzzing heavily as of late. He was recently chilling with Young Thug, Fetty Wap, and 300 Ent exec Kevin Liles, and building upon his buzz, he drops off his new project, George Gervin: Ice Man Edition, today.
OJ Da Juiceman
OJ Da Juiceman came through this afternoon with a new mixtape Texaco Muzik. Hosted by MMG DJ Q, the 16-track tape scores features from Frank Castro, Eskay, Chedda Da Connect, and Scotty ATL. Production duties are handled by such luminaries as DoughBoy Beats, Chris Surreal, and Metro Boomin. (OJ's 2012 track "Narley" features arguably one of the best Metro Boomin beats ever.)
Disguise The Limit
The Nyck Caution hype train started moving pretty fast as soon as he dropped a fiery 3-track EP on his 22nd birthday in January. Last week, the Pro Era rapper announced Disguise the Limit and informed his fans that he would be dropping the project before the end of February. True to his word, he delivers the tape on Leap Day.
Free Agent 3
Southside has built his brand on reliably banging production for such ATL stalwarts Waka Flocka ("Fuck The Club Up"), Future ("Fuck Up Some Commas"), & Young Thug ("Danny Glover.") He has a rapping alter ego, Young Sizzle, and Sizzle has been teasing his Free Agent 3 mixtape with a slew of loose releases over the course of the last couple months. At last, the tape has arrived.
Ex Drug Dealer 2
Casino is intent on proving himself as one of Future's most reliable soldiers at Freebandz, and the Atlanta trapper has made a strong statement on his new mixtape, Ex Drug Dealer 2, the sequel to the original Ex Drug Dealer, the DJ Esco-hosted tape he put out in early 2013. For EDD2, Casino grabbed his label boss for two tracks ("Whitney Houston" and "Say That"), and his labelmate Young Scooter for two more. Additional features come from Young Thug, Young Dolph, and more.
BeatKing & Nephew Texas Boy
Just over a month after dropping 3 Weeks, his first official project on Sony RED, Houston Club God BeatKing is back with a joint mixtape with Nephew Texas Boy, Texlanta. The new tape brings together the sounds of two cities that have been influencing each other for many years, perhaps never more so than today.
Finally Rollin 2
Chief Keef doesn't always deliver on his promises, but he didn't disappoint tonight, as he's come through with his new mixtape, Finally Rollin 2. The tape finds Sosa rapping over classic old-school (if you're Keef's age) southern bangers, a handful of which dropped last week, including remixes of Weezy's "Stuntin' Like My Daddy" (or in Keef's case, "My Mama") as well as '00s classics from both GuWop and Jeezy.
Slime Season 2
Thug promised two projects tonight: Migos Thuggin and Slime Season 2, the follow-up to his eclectic 18-track effort from September that featured several collaborations with his go-to producer London on da Track -- as well as beats from Metro Boomin, Southside, Wheezy, Goose, and more of Atlanta's leading youngsters. No sign of Migos Thuggin just yet, but SS2 is here, and it's about all we can handle.
Lil Donald aka Lil Don Loyal got his name out earlier this year with his breakout hit, "Juice." He's since linked up with the Freebandz gang, which is run, of course, by Mr. Future Hendrix. He's now released a new mixtape via Freebandz, Freeband Loyal, which, for a debut tape, features an huge lineup of features and producers.
Stackin N Mackin Vol. 3
Chicago duo White Gzus (comprised of Blanco Caine and Gzus Piece) have been hitting us with great tracks all year, and today, it all culminates with the third installment of their Stackin N Mackin mixtape series.
Earlier this month, we were introduced to Chicago's Zona Man via his track "Mean To Me," which had him linking up with a hometown hero (Lil Durk) and his unlikely new label boss (Future) over a beat from longtime Chicago drill revolutionary C-Sick. Today, the Freebandz artist shares a new tape called No Advance.
Ever since he started showing up on songs with Young Thug last year, MPA affiliate Bricc Baby Shitro has been poised for a breakout. His status has since improved with a Kid Ink co-sign and the bubbling underground hit "6 Drugs," and now he gives people a full body of work to digest. Nasty Dealer is chock full of big guests and producers, and it's got amazing artwork to boot.
19 & Boomin
Download 19 & Boomin, the latest project from Metro Boomin, released on Monday, October 7th, 2013. Metro Boomin's chances in this game are improving with each new release, and 19 & Boomin is no exception - quite the opposite, in fact. It's a nice addition to the impressive catalogue Metro Boomin has been building over the years. We're definitely anticipating the next move.
