The 5 Best Songs From The Timeless "Space Jam" Soundtrack
"Space Jam" hit theaters 20 years ago today. It has aged remarkably well and still makes for a thrilling and rewarding experience from start to finish: the slapstick humor, Muggsy Bogues, the the greatness of Stan Podolak, the implication that the Looney Tunes universe actually exists, the terrifying prospect of the Looney Tunes slaving away on Moron Mountain, and the R&B- and rap-focused soundtrack that gives the movie its (delicious!) flavor.
Marvel Plans To Release "Luke Cage" Original Soundtrack
Netflix series "Luke Cage," Marvel's finest work yet, is getting an original soundtrack released on vinyl, according to the latest reports.
Artists React To Barack Obama's Final Summer Playlist
Earlier today, Barack Obama “dropped” (his words) a two part summer playlist, also serving as a cultural farewell as his eight years in the White House come to a close this fall. Barry O’s taste in music runs the gamut, but most relevant to HNHH are the many hip hop and R&B artists he included in both the daytime and nighttime segments.
Stream Havoc & Alchemist's Joint Album "The Silent Partner"
Joint albums are especially common these days, but it's not every day that two legends like Havoc and Alchemist come together for an entire project. Led by the singles "Maintain (Fuck How You Feel)" and the Method Man-featuring "Buck 50s & Bullet Wounds," both released last month, Havoc and Alchemist's new collaborative album, The Silent Partner, has arrived.
Karrine Steffans Admits She Used To Be Jay Z's "Becky"
Writer and former music video vixen Karrine Steffans has received a great deal of fame in the hip-hop world, for her role in music videos as well as her liaisons with certain rap superstars, including Lil Wayne, with whom she had a lengthy and dramatic relationship, documented in her 2013 book "How to Make Love to a Martian." In a new essay published by the online magazine xoJane -- written in response to Beyonce's new Lemonade album

10 Best Hip-Hop Crews Of All Time
The hip hop crew is an essential part of success. Whether big or small, every rapper has an entourage. Sometimes it's full of rappers, and other times it's just his buddies from back in the day, nonetheless, weak links in a crew can water down the crew as a whole-- something we took into consideration when crafting this list. You have the multimedia approach that Odd Future takes, and also the full-on lyrical assault that Wu-Tang Clan makes. Both are great crews, but who would comprise a list of the best rap crews of all time?
Method Man Reveals "The Meth Lab" Artwork & Release Date
When Method Man first announced The Meth Lab, it was to be presented as a mixtape and released back in March of this year. Those plans fell through, but the delay has allowed the project to be upgraded from a tape to a proper LP, so perhaps it was worth the wait after all. Today, Meth shared the official artwork for the LP, as well as the release date. It'll be on its way August 21st through Tommy Boy Entertainment.
Top 5 "Shook Ones" Freestyles
Fabolous' latest giveaway is not your average freestyle--it was a major statement. Most rappers, wisely, would shy away from such a beat--"Shook Ones", the lead off Mobb Deep's legendary The Infamous. But Fabo gave it a good shot. The best? You decide.
Wu-Tang Clan Release Official Statement Defending 88-Year Rule On Album
The one copy idea behind the Wu-Tang Clan's Once Upon A Time In Shaolin seemed insane at first, but the more recent development that it could not be shared for at least 88 years brought it to a whole new level. Not only were fans not pleased that they would not be ale to hear the LP in their lifetime, Method Man actually spoke out about the decision, denouncing it as "stupid," and insisting that the music would be "played out" by then.
#TBT: Wu-Tang Clan's GZA
GZA will be 50 next year, and while the MC might spend more time working on his chess game than writing rhymes, he certainly paid his dues while releasing tons of classic material. GZA is the only Wu-Tang Clan member to have released an album before 36 Chambers dropped. Always ahead of the curve, he doesn't get the nickname 'The Genius' for nothing. He spits straight knowledge on his beats, and never succumbs to the ignorance we see in modern rap (or even occasionally in ODB's rhymes!).
Review: Wu-Tang Clan's "A Better Tomorrow"
It's been seven years since the Wu-Tang Clan released their last proper album, 8 Diagrams, but of course, that doesn’t mean the members of rap’s greatest clan have been prepping for an early retirement. Not by a long shot. Since 8 Diagrams, there have been a number of efforts from Clan members, most notably records by Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Method Man. While the three collaborated on 2010’s Wu-Massacre, they have also been involved in a variety of other projects.
Classic Rotation: Wu-Tang Clan's "Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers"
In the late 80s, a few cousins got together to form a little rap crew in Brooklyn, New York. Robert Diggs, Gary Grice and Russel Jones, better known as Rza, Gza and Ol' Dirty Bastard respectively, had no idea what kind of world-changing journey they were about to embark on. They were simply teenagers who enjoyed kung fu, hip-hop and probably a little weed smoke. Fortunately for us, the All In Together Now Crew were the roots of what became the mighty Wu-Tang Clan, in all their profound glory and cringing controversy.
Kid Cudi & Method Man To Appear In CBS Drama "Scorpion"
As a musician, Kid Cudi's been called a lot of things, but "pop genius" might not be one of them. As an actor, that's a different story entirely, as he's just been tapped to appear as a "brilliant musical prodigy" in the CBS show "Scorpion."
The 10 Hottest Freestyles On Tim Westwood TV
Tim Westwood may not look like your average hip-hop personality, but the 57-year-old gangly white dude, always rocking a different color polo, is an industry legend, and he's been there from the beginning. In the late 80s, Westwood was one of the first DJs in Europe to play hip-hop on mainstream radio. As host of the revolutionary BBC Radio 1 Rap Show, started in '94, he became arguably the #1 importer of American hip-hop to the UK and beyond.
Ticket Giveaway: Smokers Club Tour
The Smokers Club Tour has become an annual event, each year featuring a variety of smoke-worthy rappers. This year the headliners tapped are none other than "How High" duo, Method Man and Redman. Alongside the two veteran MCs, we'll see Mick Jenkins, B-Real of Cypress Hill and Taylor Gang's weed authority Berner.
10 References To "The Wire" In Hip-Hop
We both hope and assume y'all have seen or are at least familiar with HBO's "The Wire" at this point - if not, it's due time you did your homework. Created by former police reporter David Simon, the critically lauded television series is arguably one of the most definitive works of our generation, having struck chords far stronger than most of the shows that aired during its run from 2002 to 2008, within the hip-hop community especially.
Method Man Talks Upcoming Projects On Reddit AMA
Over the years, the Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) has become one of the most popular means of artists connecting with their fans. Blackout 3 working now… Meth Lab is done and Crystal Meth starts after Blackout 3,” he said in a typed message. For fans, the sheer amount of material is an exciting change; Meth releases are infamously scarce.
